The most crooked business i have ever seen
The most crooked business i have ever seen. and for that county jail u r stuck with it cause they own the phones and they charge u $50 mimmum it really *** when u r 8 hours away from the person. they charged almost 20 dollars for a 15 min call. they r the worst thing i have seen in the phone bussiness.i can not aford 50 dollars all of the time.as i said before they are crooks i hope when ppl see these kind of write up they will learn from other. The best service of this typ is pay-tel but they dont go everywhere

Disconeccted during call
On october 22 2009 at 3:00pm my phone call from san jauquion county jail was disconnected during my call from a loved one. this has happened before an your company has reinversed me.so; im hoping that you can solve this issue i have.thank you!because i have called twice since this to your company and i have gotten the run around.please help me get credit back for the call. it is a little exspencive for me but i manage.but can not afford to lose a phone call from my loved one. again thank you for service.

These people are something else not only did they allow unauthorized access to my account where my ex-husband with my information reversed my payments and that is only with my checking account info not cbs info like my pin, address, name etc...they would no longer take payments from me on line I kept getting a check validation window. On top of that why the hell does it take them 5-9 hours to post a quick collect payment Im thinking the rep I spoke too sd to me we have 7, 000 customers well Im thinking credit card companies, utility companies etc have more than that and they manage to post the payment within minutes I mean it is a quick collect for Gods sake. Anyways has already been over a week since I have talked to my loved one and they still have not taken the block off my line after paying over 200.00 that they decided to invoice. Checking into verizon so I will not have to deal with CBS never met a biller that wont take my money and when they do they do not give me service lol!!

dropped calls
Ever since my fiance was transfered to New Castle Correctional Facility we have had to deal with Correctional Billing Services. I keep good track of the dropped calls, and as of now we are very close to 150.00 dollars in calls that were just cut off for no reason. I always make sure im away from t.v.s and othe phones and I don't have a clue how to do a custom call, but thats what it says im doing just before it hangs up and he has to call back, which encures another charge. Now that I have sent in the proper papers 2xs and faxed them 3xs, they are saying that there aren't any dropped calls. What the heck????????? Where is the better business bureau' s number ??????

Scam to make money off of loved ones of people who are incarcerated
This billing service is nothing but another way for the jails/prisons to make a profit off of the family and loved ones of people who are incarcerated. I am unable to pay for a prepaid account, but my home phone is capable of accepting collect calls from anywhere in the world. Why can't I accept a collect call from my loved one in jail? I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, and desperately need to talk to my only family member, who unfortunately is in jail. There must be some other option, other than putting more money into someone else's pocket and paying for salaries of workers in Mexico City and Dallas. What a waste of hard-earned, taxpayers money! I would appreciate an expedited response...I may not be here next week or tomorrow for that matter to receive a call from my loved one.

false reports of 3 way calling
they charged me for making 3 way phone calls that i never made when i contacted them and i asked to speek with a supervisor they told me that they were not going to remburst me for the calls that they charged me for and they never put the supervisor on the phone, and to top it all off they hung up me i was not to happy with the way they treated me and they were very rude so i called back and talked to someone and i asked them to go back and review the phone conversations and they wouldent even do that out of all the money i spend with that companey i figure that they could go back and listin to the taped conversations but they couldent even do that iam really dissapointed with thier companey.

money not credited to account
This company is definately involved in defrauding its customers. I spend at least $800 a month with this company so that I can keep in touch with my loved one. A few weeks ago I learned that my account was in the negative by $190, which is impossible to do because you are instantly cut off if there is no money in the account. After continuously calling there alleged customer service department, I was told that my payment that I made with my credit card came back. Mind you the paymnet in question was made a month before. To add insult to injury, a few days later after making a payment to bring the account current another payment supposedly was returned by my credit card company. Needless to say I had to pay over $400 to bring the account current, and after checking repeatedly with my credit card company no charges were ever credited back to my card. I am furious because no one will help me and very few of thier employees speak proper, clear english so nothing is ever resolved. I have filed a complaint with the FCC and the Better Business Bureau already. This company needs to be looked into.

Will not refund money paid on Debit Card
I paid $60 on 1-5-09 to Correctional Billing Services by my Bank Debit Card to provide telephone service from my son . After failing to accept the collect calls over and over again, I called them and they advised me that they do not service the facility in question. I requested a refund back to my debit card on 1-28-09. Every time I call I get a different person either in the Carribean or Mexico city. The so called supervisors do not return calls or refund the funds as promised. They state the money has been refunded and in fact it has not. This is mear principle and I have every intention in taking this to the State Attorney Generals Office. As you can see from the many complaints nothing is being done. The state we live in should not allow this type of activity to hard working, tax paying AMERICANS...

CBS was to provide collect call service from lorian correctional instatute . We set up an account with CBS for fifty dollars(50.00) in October.
CBS did not provide any service and we have not received our requested refund to date.
