I only have wonderful things to say about Compass Van Lines, they helped me so much I don't know where to begin. The sales rep was very understanding that this was my first move and she explained the whole process to me where I could understand it. The mover were professional and hard workers. The move didn't even cost as much as some of the other quotes I had received.

Stay away from this moving company or make sure you get a full, up front in writing estimate. They love to use the internet, that is where I found them. They give you a quote, they set up a move time and they take a $100.00 deposit for the move. Everything seems so great, you give them a list of your products, they give you a time line quote. IE: (Three men @ $75.00 for 4 hours plus an hour travel time) Anything over that is charged at $75.00 an hour. Well that is all great, sounds good to me come and get my stuff. Well wehn they get to the house, they want you to take them on a tour, then the team leader ( a real jerk of a human being when he is confronted of the scam) sits you down and says of, it is time to start the paper work. He give you your credit card statement to sign, then he gets you to sign a release form. This form release Compass from damages. Then he starts to hit you with all the additional charges ( at least they do not do this when your stuff is on the truck) must have trouble with that one before. This clown they have for a team leader can not give you a break down of the charges without looking stupid. Then say he wants to box everything that might break is his own boxes at $16.00 a box and 60.00 labor for each item. Extra charges were over $ 400.00 on top of the move. I told him I just signed a release form and I did not want to have anything extra boxed, just wrap it and move it. Well of course he did not like that idea and got real rude. Then I told him I would buy his boxes and box them myself. He got all huffy and puffy about that as well. Then when I called hinm a theif for trying to steal from me ( my Money) he got real rude...started giving me the evel eye in my own home. When I told him to leave and the move was off that is when he really got upset. Oh well... I sure hope nobody else has to go through what I did. Most people set schedules and movers like this pray on it. They know you have to moe and will do just about anything to move at that particular time. For me I would have just gone to a local moving company and did it myself, but at 2:00 in the afternoon I called another company and they performed as promised, did not charge for any extra boxing and moved me at 5:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. It took until 10:00 to get done, but they did it and did it right. Compass take note from your competition do it right and stop screwing with people, thier money, their time and thier lives.
