Theft of Jewelry / Prescription Medication
out of the hospital 2 days prior.after the first morning of room servic, my prescription medication, and a set of 800 dollar diamond earings were missing.after adressing management i was told that they have the employees word and it was there word against mine.i was 1200 miles from home, which means i couldnt get another because it was a narcotic, which cannot be prescribes to an out of state patient.i suffered the rest of the trip.even though thee was really no thoughtful concern of even asking or caring about the situation.would like to co tact a better buissness bureau.when i am payin over 500 dollars for the weekend, i would at least would like an apology and consideration.or even a discount instead of a statement from the desk clerk saying she is swamped and dont have time to deal with thi problem.remember this is the hospitality industry and i am a personal chef and own 2 restaraunts.my opinion shuld matter and shuld be an asset to your team.good criticism is to learn from.bad criticism is bad buisness..

no reservation hold
Reservation made, 3 months in advance. for non-smoking room on front of hotel away from noisy train tracks. Upon arrival, given room with absolutely foul stence of smoke. They said it had been "ionized." Whatever that process is - it failed miserably in removing the smokers stench. The room was also on the noisy train-tracks side of the hotel. When we asked why we hadn't gotten the room we reserved 3 months earlier, the said it was because they coul not guarantee a particluar type of room. Is that's so, whay didn't tey say so when we reserved the room ( in person) during a prior visit. They also said that reservations could not be honored if a visitor decided to stay longer than scheduled such that the room we reserved was over-stayed. What bunk! we immediately demanded a refund and cancelled a future reservation and went to a newly-opened Fairfield Inn a few miles away. We will never, if possible, stay at another Comfort Inn. It was very much like the Sienfeld episode about car rentals - "You can make reservations - you don't know how to hold(honor) them!"

Sexual and Verbal harasment
My name is Jennifer Crosby and I used to be an employee at the Cottage Grove, Oregon Comfort Inn. I was verbally harassed everyday by Bikrimjit Singh who is the General manager. He would tell me I had no common sense, Make sexual remarks to me, offer to buy me alcohol even though I am 21, yell at me in front of guests telling me I have no idea about anything and that he should just fire me. I would cry everyday before I went to work and when I got off and into my car. The management would threaten to fire me every week. I put up with it for so long cause I needed a job, and where I come from there are not many jobs. One time he walked up to me while I was stalking cups and he came up to me with an erection and told me not to rent out room 236 cause he would be busy up there. He would walk by my house and yell the time I worked the next day when I was outside, then when I got to work the next day make rude remarks and question why I was drinking a beer on my own property. After that he would call me a drunk at work when I was on the clock. I do not approve of it and neither did my family. I talked to former co-workers and they have wrote me letters telling me what he and the rest of the management would do to them. I will send the letter if you would like. After just a few months I put my 2 weeks in and they never gave me my check after I put my 2 weeks in. I have had to see 2 different doctors about how my anxiety has increased to extreme highs and am taking new medication for it. Three other women and I are have hired and spoke with an attorney about these recurring problem. If you need any information please feel free to contact me 541-868-7697.

Price gouging
I called the hotel before I checked in and was told by someone who identified himself as the manager that it would $118 for the first night, the hotel had a pool and it would be $149 for 2 additional nights. When I actually got to the hotel, I was charged $219 for 1 night and was told that I was unable to cancel the reservation the first night and that the hotel didn't have a pool. I then called the Comfort Inn 800 line to file a complaint, and the rep was able to get the clerk to drop the price down to $139 +8%. I was told by the manager that the hotel used a gym pool but it was only open during certain hours. The rep with the 800 line took it upon themselves to drop the complaint. When I talked to other hotel patrons, they stated they had the same problem with overcharging, and the manager stated he was running out of rooms, but the hotel maids stated that there were plenty of rooms. I will not be staying at another Comfort Inn again if this is how your managers behave.

Terrible and dirty place
I read the reviews of the Comfort Inn in Toledo Ohio on Secor Road and did not want to stay but a large group that we were with had reservations so I booked. What a nasty place!!! Filthy carpet, dirty doors, and we had to change rooms because the smell was so overwhelming in our room. The suspicion amongst our friends was a very strong bug spray!!! It isn't hard to be clean. Never to stay at a Comfort Inn again, did I mention that this was the second Comfort Inn on the trip and I said the same thing that night?

Do not care about costumers
While my friend was staying at a Comfort Inn and stepped out of her room for coffee, a security camera caught on film a guy (who was staying in the same motel, a workman working on remodeling) who snuck into her room through a closed window, stole her purse and left again. The police were terrific, but the manager would "comp" her only for one night instead of two. They're lucky she's not suing. Think of the next young woman you know and tell her Comfort Inns don't care about her security.

Gross cleanliness
October 21, 2009
disgusting cleanliness
We checked into the Country Inn and Suites and the ONLY room available was a room next to four chain smoking rooms. The room reeked of smoke. We went back to the service desk and requested a different room. None were available. We were sent to the Comfort Inn down the street. We were sent up the stairs and the hallway was filthy. There was dirt and grass all over. When we walked into the room, the first thing we noticed was that something had spilled all down the side of the TV. Milk? I went to see the bathroom and you could feel the hairspray on the countertop and the toilet cover. I wiped it off with a wetwipe and the wipe was grey. I then went to check out the bed and there was a hair in it. I tried to call the front desk and phone didn't work. It was late, I was exhauted and already changed into my pj's. Headed off to bed and talked to someone in the morning. Told him of the problems and his response was. I will tell the management, he won't be happy. There was no apology whatsoever. It was a gross experience.

business
i was an employee until this morning. i had worked at comfort inn for just about a year. in that time my hours have changed about 20x's my position changed alot also.i let myself be moved around for the sake of having a job.recently i was moved to six days a week.4 hourly 2 paid by room. this week i was told that i was no longer needed to work 2 of my days. and it upset me to the point of beingi n tears for the rest of my shift.well since it made me upset to lose these days the owner decided that i would lose two more.work two dyas and be oncall the rest of the week.well i worked one day this.got called this morning to come to work but just before leaving got called not to come.now for housekeepers the owner put in two people that of the same race.this is taking away from other workers that have been there. i have always been a very agreeable worker allowing them to shift me around but i just could not take the strain anymore of knowing or not if i was going to have a job from day to day. so when i was called to not come i told in not so nice of words which i do apologize that i quit. i ahve always been a very good wqorker be it front desk or breakfast un like some workers who paint their toenails while working front desk or playing on their laptops while supposed to be working i always did cleaning during my shifts at the desk.i feel like i was crapped on for being this good worker and could not deal with the stress anylonger so i told them i quit and i'll look someplace else. this place has run crazy since it was bought last year.

Housekeeping
Silver earrings taken from nightstand during cleaning service. It was an act of blatant theft! Service provider acted 'surprised'. She spoke no English. The other staff members, including the woman at the front desk had an, "Oh, that's too bad!" attitude. I felt both duped and robbed.
