Service AND Billing Issues
Internet connection went down 2/28. Now 3/7 and still not fixed. Spent 3+ hours on phone over several days. They missed an appt and then failed to schedule me today as they had promised. Also spent my own time and gas swapping out faulty modem for them. Add to this, that when I checked my bill they increased my modem rental fee in March even though their own announcement on my bill states that they are going up MAY 1st. So, not only are we going to give you crappy service, we going to charge you more for it AND we are going to raise the rates sooner than we said. CHECK YOUR BILLS! WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?

Stay away
I have always had problems with comcast high speed internet. Every night, my internet connection keeps disconnecting and there is nothing we can do about it. We have called comcast but the problem still persists. Stay away from comcasr high speed internet. Even thier tv service isn't good but that's for another complaint.

Theft
Comcast is the worst pack of lying thieves I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. We tried to sign up with them when moving back to GA from FL in Sept 2010. We paid one of their associated companies $129 to send us the modem with the written understanding that we would get the money back when we started service with Comcast. We moved to GA and the installer from Comcast came to install the system. We were outside the house in the yard, 40 feet from the front door, and the installer went to the door, knocked once, put a sign on the door, and left. I saw him leaving. We called them to ask what gives, and were told he could not return for 2 weeks. Since I work from home and MUST have internet service to be able to work, this was not acceptable, and we canceled Comcast and hired CenturyLink, who was able to install their system the next day.

Since we had the Concast modem, we asked Comcast where we should return it for our money back and were told to bring it to the office in Savannah, GA. So, we took it to Savannah office and were told that we could expect our money back in 6 to 8 weeks. It has now been 3 months, and since we have not received our money back, we called Comcast. They have no records of our returning the modem, even though we have a receipt with all the information, including the modem number, a signature from an employee, and the Comcast logo on the receipt. They refuse to pay since they have no records, even though we have an official receipt. What a bunch of low life, lower than whale poop in the bottom of the ocean thieves. I'll have to sue them to get my money back. Utter thieves. Nothing but thieves and liars.

Activation fee cheating
Through email, I got the deal from Comcast for the high Speed Internet. They said No contract, No activation fee, Free modem, free wireless router (mail-in-rebate). Then i ordered the service as non-cable user (because I do not have comcast service). They charged only for router and shipping. When i wanted to do the installation, they ask the activation fee.

When I ordered, it said free. Now there is a fee ($49.95). This is like cheating the customers. I changed from verizon to Comcast and have the bad experience.

Speed
In case you haven't realized this Comcast has oversold line capacity, yet they continue to advetise Power Boost High Speed Internet. What a crock. Windows has a program built into it where you can do an IP trace on your PC, it will list connections and speed. The AT&T line out of Knoxville TN, who Comcast has purchase service through slows down everynight between 8pm and 10pm. If I wanted dial up I would call the phone company and have a land line installed. My wife and I have gone round for round with Comcast from screwed up billing to no Cable service and SLOOOOOOW internet services. Comcast Wins the Darwin Award for the people they hire in Customer Service.

Comcast Internet is very bad
Comcast fails to receive some Email and also fails to send some Email from their on-line Email web-page. This means that important business contacts think that I am either ignoring them or, perhaps, hiding from them. The result is devastating! I have complained. There have been no responses except... The last time I send an on-line complaint, the response was to delete all my email and my address book in my account. They also fail to answer US postal mail sent to their Philadelphia address.

This is in addition to the usual problems with bandwidth limiting so that Comcast is not very useful for viewing web-pages that have many pictures. I detail this and many other problems in my BLOG, http://comcast-cable.blogspot.com/
