Stopped and harassed for no explainable reason. Sheriff Mott and others of authority constantly stop and harass citizens for no apparent reason. I was stopped and checked as if I was an immigrant by appearance. This happens very often to individuals in this county. This department wastes their taxpayers dollars to stop and harass individuals whose color is opposite of theirs. However, this is nothing new. Driving While Black is alive and the racist attitudes of those in uniform are very much there and the uniformed are very open about it; however, it happens and will continue to happen. The hate is there, in their mannerisms, attitudes, actions, and words. No matter how safe you drive, how slow you turn, how much you signal, Sheriff Mott and others to whom he can relate will be there to get you as long as you are black and driving a vehicle nicer than them. He will attempt to find fault in your situation but often times he cannot and when they cannot they will make something wrong unless you are aware of the injustices that are present.

Be aware and ready to film, so you won't become a statistic because that is what they strive for.
