Have no idea what the $12 charge to my credit card is for. We have not authorized such and never heard of CIC Triple Advantage. Beware people!

I received this "service" through Capital One Credit Company and in 5 months received one credit statement. They not only charged me for nothing but they charged me twice a month. When I called to cancel using 877-481-6825 I had no problem getting them to cancel service (most likely because I was not very nice) but they refused to believe I was being billed twice, saying that maybe my husband had an account with them as well. I highly doubt this seeing as he has no credit card.

On 10/27/07 went on line to request a free credit report at freecreditreport.com. Prior to proceeding with information I was asked to submit credit card information, at which time I was told my credit card would not be billed if I cancel within 30 days.

Upon checking my credit card statement on-line today there was a $25.90 charge from CIC Triple Advantage. I called (11/15/07) CIC and spoke with a Ciara and told her I wanted to cancel the service and ask if my credit would be reimbursed and she said "NO". I was also told the reason for the $25.90 charge was because $12.95 was for a incomplete request I made in August (which I do not recall making). I did do the request on 10/27/07 because of a charge that had appeared on a Transunion report when I applied for a loan with my credit union.

If a credit report is "FREE", why was I charged to go on line to look at my report and why do these sites require a credit card? This is a scam and need to be stopped.

CIC Triple Advantage need to be put out of business and required to refund every dime they have stole from consumers.

Recently there was negative things on my credit report so i did freecreditreport.com to see what was on there. I was not aware that i was going to be charge for these services as they say the service is free. I have been charged $12.95 for two months without my knowing. I am very upset and when i contacted the credit card company they said to contact the merchant and they would credit my account back. After contacting cic i was told that this charge in no refundable. The woman was rude and refused to let me speak with a supervisor.

the advertisement says, 30 day free trial, then you must cancel your subscription within 30 days by telephone, which i did. I did it within 5 days. I called them and asked why i was charged, the response was nothing is as it ever seems and if we gave free credit reports we wouldn't make any money. Thats besides the point, they fraudulently advertise, free credit report for 30 days. Then you must cancel by telephone before the 30 days or receive a recurring bill monthly. I canceled the same day i subscribed for the free report and my credit card was billed by them. They refuse to give back any portion of my money. They should be brought up on fraudulent advertising, along with j.k harris company. Beware these people are ruthless thieves!
