I requested a free credit report due to a freezing of my line of credit on my home.
This month I discovered a charge on my credit card. I was required to reveal my card number to access my free credit report.
I did not receive or want their service.

My husband canceled CIC Triple Advantage coverage over four months ago through the automated service. The next month the $12.95 charge was still on our account. My husband called and spoke to someone in customer service. He was told it would be canceled and he would receive an e-mail confirming it. He never did and this months here the charges show up again. Then I decided to call and talk to someone. They told me they could not cancel because I did not have the "OLD" debit card. (which by the way someone stole my number and used it and I had to cancel it!!) I raised *ell with them until they did cancel it and when I asked about refunding my money for the last three months, well guess what, they don't do refunds. I WILL get my money back!! I will go as far as I have to.

This company is charged my credit card $14.95 this month for a credit monitoring service. We did not order this service nor did we visit their web site or request a free credit report. We have no idea how they got our credit card number. Credit card said to settle it with them. I will now have to cancel the credit card and get another. What is really scary is how many other companies out there have this number and may want to use it in the future. Again, our situation is different from most of the posts I have read on CIC. Neither myself or my husband ever contacted CIC or went on their web site. Why would anyone when you can go to annualcreditreport.com and get a totally no obligation free one time a year report from all 3 credit companies??? I had already this year gone to the legitimate web site and checked our credit, as I do every year. Although one of the three agencies is behind the CIC and FreeCreditReport.com sites, I was not asked nor did I provide a credit card number. I can only presume that my credit card has been compromised and somehow these lowlifes obtained the number.

BEWARE!

I had called cic triple advantage to credit my account for services that don't even work. I told them that I didn't want their services any longer and they said that they would credit my account in 72 hours. I made this call on 8/17/08.

I did not order this service and 25.95 was deducted from my credit card. Beware all!
