paying for services not ordered
I went to Free Credit Report last year and around the same time signed up for a help insurance program. I saw the $12.00a bill on my card and i thought it was for a health isnurance premimum I had applied for. Well today I saw that the payment had gone up to $12.95 this month and I called to find out why. Imaging my surprise to find out that it was a credit reporting firm and not the insurance i thought it was. Oh Hell No, I cancelled this today and will also alert my credit card co.
I did not sign up for this and I have been paying for it over a year. This is so not right, this is a company supposed give me a "FREE report", not rip me off . I am so upset at my own studipidity for not cheacking sooner.

unauthorized charge
i have unauthorized charges on 8/11/08 and 9/9/08 for $14.95. i have no idea why ive never had my credit report checked!!

Read the terms!
This is not a complaint, but rather a solution for everyone MAKING complaints about CIC Triple Advantage. When you signed up for your free credit report, CIC gave you terms to agree to. In those terms, it clearly states that you agree to sign up for their monitoring service at a cost of at LEAST $12.95/mo, automatically deducted from your credit card or debit card. You get 30 days free, then the billing starts.

There is a phone number on your CC statement that you can call to cancel. Good luck trying to get your money back--once you agree to those terms, they keep throwing it in your face when you call them. It's even a pain just to cancel, as they keep telling you how dangerous it is not to monitor your credit, etc, etc.

Like I said, you probably will NOT get your money back, but at least you won't be paying for a service you don't want/need/use.

This isn't really a scam on their part though, even the commercials say that you have to sign up for Triple Advantage. It's their way of making money. You just really need to read what you're signing up for!!!

The only truly free credit report is Annual Credit Report which you get free once per year.

Charges after I cancelled
I signed up months ago for what I thought was a free credit monitoring service. I knew that I had to cancel within a certain amount of time to avoid the membership fees and I made a point of doing it only a few day after I signed up. One month later I noticed a weird change on my bank statement for $14.95. I didn't figure it out at first but I called the number (877-481-6825) and found out it was Triple Advantage.

I called in an when someone finally answered they barely spoke English. I was so confused by what she was telling me but at the end of the conversation I thought I had canceled my membership.

Months later I notice another charge for $14.95 from Triple Advantage. I checked my statement history and saw that they had been charging me every other month or so. I called right away, told them my situation and asked them to stop it once and for all. Instead I got the complete run around. She told me I would have to log in and check verify the new inquires on my account before I could cancel. I signed up so long ago that I totally forgot my info. Once I figured it out and logged in the site said I had no new inquires or changes. I completely lost it after that. I told her that she was trying to confuse me and that I just wanted this canceled. I didn't even ask for my money back I knew it wouldn't happen.

I'm going to keep a closer watch on my statements from now on. If I see anything else I'm changing my card info and taking legal action. It bothers me that they take unsuspecting people's hard earned money without remorse just so they can make tacky, offensive daytime commercials.

unauthorized charges
For several months CIC Triple Advantage has been charging me for service I never ordered. I have called them several times. Usually I am just hung up on. I have gotten several overdraft charges because of them. They don't care. By the way, they are heavy Republican campaign contributers. My tax dollars at work.

I stopped this subscription and you are still charging me
In June i signed up for a 30 day free trail and was to call and cancel at 30 days or before i did that in July 7 and i have been charged twice at 14.95 and i would like to be refunded my money and please cancel this for good.

Unauthorized Credit Card Charges
I signed up for a one-time FREE credit report and then was charged $12.00 twice on my credit card from CIC Triple Advantage. I have since contacted the customer service number, 1-877-481-6826, and was told that when I signed up, I was automatically signed up for this service and since I did not cancel it within the 7-9 trial period, monthly charges began. I explained to the woman that I never intended to sign up for any type of service and that I wanted a full refund of the charges. She said she could refund only one month of the charges. I then requested to speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold and then returned stating that the supervisor would refund the second months charge. I requested the supervisors name, and after being placed on hold again, I was given the name Leo. I'm sure that's not a real name, and when I request a last name, I was told that she was not able to give out that info. I was told that my refund should appear on my credit card statment in 7-10 banking days. We will see! Definitely beware.

unauthorized billing
I thought I was ordering a free credit report from Experian. Upon receipt of my Master card statement, I had been charged $14.95 from CIC Triple Advantage. When you check their website, it is very misleading. I telephone them at 1877-488-6825 to cancel this charge and account that I had not authorized. I was advised they would cancel the account, but not refund the $14.95 since I did not cancel this service in the 7 day period called for on their site. I filed a complaint with Master card and was informed they would not refund the $14.95 but from this date forward would dispute any futher charges. Thank goodness, it wasn't for a higher charge. I still feel they "raped" my account and did exactly what I was attempting to avoid by checking my credit record.
