Just tried to use AT&T Mobility's 411 Information Service and was bombarded by 30-second "press * to learn more" ads for consumer products . Unwittingly I pressed "*" thinking that would get me through the messages and INTO AT&T's information services, and suddenly found myself subscribed to CSW's www.ringtonetimes.com for $9.99 a month (!).

I was told to call 1-877-225-1198 to unsubscribe from the service. I did so. I also texted "STOP" to 71769 immediately thereafter and received an "unsubscribe confirmation" from both numbers. I have wasted an hour of my personal time attempting to cancel this unwanted service and will be forced to waste more tomorrow calling the 877 number back to ENSURE my "authorized subscription" was canceled and I will not be billed this ridiculous charge. When I googled CSW I was amazed at the number of consumer complaints they have amassed.

Why is AT&T forcing this service on their customers? I have NO INTEREST in the latest Kanye West album, upcoming concerts, Nationwide auto insurance or any of the other BS products CSW is hyping. I would much rather PAY for the 411 service than be subjected to these time-wasting, money-wasting ads. I would like Cellular Services Worldwide and AT&T Mobility to cease and desist with this bad business practice. I am exceedingly unhappy with my one experience with CSW (Cellular Services Worldwide), and am furious with AT&T for partnering with this shady company.

My cellular contract is up for renewal soon and I do not know whether I will continue with AT&T. I will certainly NEVER use AT&T's 411 service again. If anyone wants to file a class action lawsuit against CSW for its bad business practices, count me in.
