unapproved charges/contracts
I have had lengthy emails back and forth with this company and unapproved charges as everyone else has it seems. I will let everyone know that you need to stick with the complaining to them and it will get you somewhere. I know they seem like they are scamming you (which they are), but you can in return stick it to them. Make sure that you are noting everything thing with them. Make sure you keep a paper trail (which everyone should be with just about any transaction that you make), but especially with shady companies that are doing nothing but wrong. I have made sure that just about everything that I am doing with this company is by email. I did call them the last time that I had contact with them, but I was in the process of emailing them as well. Of course, when I called it gave an original wait time of 59 minutes and it ended up taking 2 hours and 15 minutes to get someone on the phone to talk to. She was very nice, and I know it is not her fault she works for a shady company. Some people are desperate for jobs in this economy, so I cannot blame her. My problem is not the fact that I did not read the fine print, that is something that I can only blame myself for. They put all of the shady stuff like they have about getting the product and if not returned within 14 days that you will be charged the remainder of the outstanding charges for the product. I originally ordered the product in November. I had charges on my account for well more than I expected and in turn started contacting them through email on why the charges were more than expected. When I received the product, little did I know that they had two small bubbles on the right side of the ordering page that were selected to opt me in for the additional products of the HOODIABURST Gum for $9.95 and also the HOODIAWATER suppliment for $29.95. It took two nasty emails for them to finally respond back to me after I had received the products and tell me it was because I didn't choose to opt out of the additional products. Then, little did I know that I hadn't actually paid for the products. I had only paid for the product to try for 14 days and then they would charge me the remainder of the amount for the products. I got the additional charges for the products at the end of November. At that point I figured I had missed something else and turned to the website for additional information. When I did that I found the Terms and Conditions listed above. After reading it and realizing that I had (not by my knowledge) signed up for a membership when ordering the product and would receive additional charges and products on a monthly basis. I immediately turned around and sent a notification to the email provided as an email to send a request for a cancellation of membership to. It states nothing in the Terms and Conditions about needing any further information or doing anything else to fulfill my request for a cancellation to my membership. I sent this out on November 30th and surprise, surprise...I look at my account again today and new charges have appeared from the company on December 11th and December 15th. One of the charges caused an overdraft to my account costing me an additional $34 on top of the $44.90 that has been charged twice (I ordered two of their products like the dumb person I seem to be). So for a total of $123.80 I have been taken for a ride. You know I will take the first charges for the products because I should have read the Terms and Conditions, but I am not taking the second charges because I fulfilled my end of the agreement and sent the email to cancel before additional charges could be made. Well, I was not letting down on it this time. I picked up the phone and called the 1 (888) 692-8352 number for customer service and with waiting over 2 hours have finally gotten some relief. They are giving me back $20 for both of the original products that I received and ordered. They are also going to waive the 15% restocking fee when I send the additional products back that they have sent out giving me back $39.95 for both of those. They said they would not give me the $34 overdraft fee because they got the email for cancellation of my membership from me, but the email does not have anything in the text only the subject saying "CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIPS"!!! So "we did not know which membership you wanted to cancel." I would think the "s" at the end of membership and me only having two should have been obvious enough, but whatever, because little do the know or obviously care they basically gave me back every penny I was seeking to have returned to me. I will only lack about $3.90 after it is all said and done. I can handle that as long as they live up to their end of the agreement again (which only time will tell)

I have registered a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on this company. The BBB in Arizona will be handling the complaint because of where the company is located. I suggest that as stated in the beginning that you make sure to keep a documented rolling log of contact with companies and also to make sure to follow through and not give up. My outcome is yet to be seen, but if they do as they have stated then I will be happy with the outcome. Use caution when dealing with these companies.
