Stay away
I worked at cbeyond for 7 days; total bs. They were more concerned about overcoming objections of the potential customer and knowing company catch phrases than knowing what they were selling. They brought 22 yr. old kids who they work 60hrs a week and threaten their jobs constantly. They are making like 8-9 $ per hr. as they drive their own vehicles into the ground. The average sales rep was about 1 1/2 months with the co. and there was a lot of them. Every day sales people would come in saying that business owners were sick of Cbeyond sales reps. The managers would say go back next month. Based on what I saw I would stick with a larger more reputable company and pay a bit more if I had to. They even said in trainings that they would never win on price. What a joke. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...STAY AWAY FROM CBEYOND

Aggressive Drop-in Sales
A tag-team of three very aggressive cbeyond salesmen dropped in on our business today. We asked them to leave and they would not! We insisted we did not want to buy any services from them and they belligerently replied "what have we tried to sell you so far?" (they had a point - they had only pitched their product at us - they had not yet tried to close a sale... but still, when a customer asks you to leave, please leave!)

Biggest Mistake I EVER Made!
I made the mistake of signing up with CBeyond! I can NOT stress enough: DON'T DO IT! Why? Below is a laundry list of unbelievable bad service.
The 'sales rep' hustled me. He lied about everything. He said that I had 30 days to cancel if I wasn't happy. He said that the transition from Qwest to his company would be smooth. LIE. He said that I would receive credits when transferring my cell phones. LIE. In short this is what I got:
- I signed up. I had no phone service for 2 days. They screwed that up.
- They put down the wrong 800 number. I have NO idea where they got it.
- They didn't contact Qwest to cancel my internet service. I wound up paying $397 for internet service I didn't use!
- They didn't issue my credits for the cell phones until I called and threw a fit.
- They were never able to activate my cell phones. I gave up.
- They never contacted the phonebook company to get our listings in the book. The information online was TOTALLY wrong: wrong number, wrong address.
- My interent connection ***. Half the time, my faxes never went through. I finally got somone out to try to fix it. It's better but not totally fixed.
- When I tried to cancel in 30 days, they told me that I'd have to pay an early termination fee of $12, 000!! They said that they don't have a 30 free cancellation policy.
I'm currently filing a complaint with the BBB in Atlanta (I'm in Colorado). We'll see what happens.
Personally, I'd like to see the crooks at CBeyond in jail with a hefty fine and watch their corporate office burn down.

Worst telecom decision ever
I am a business owner in California who made the mistake of signing a contract with C-Beyond in March 2010. It was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made as a business owner, and I am still paying the price for it.
The largest of many problems was that their T1 routers misread every phone number dialed out by our (new) PBX, resulting in a 100% loss of outgoing calls. C-Beyond informed me that the problem was with my phone equipment and not their routers. After spending $800 on phone testing and tech support, it was determined that the problems were, in fact, with C-Beyond's routers. However, C-Beyond was unwilling/unable to do anything about it. Simply put, my existing equipment was irreconcilably incompatible with C-Beyond's, and could not be made to work under any circumstances. This all should have been determined at the time of sale, but the eager young sales representative was too busy salivating over the contract to do a proper site survey.
I spent a full month without use of my phone system, which nearly crippled my business, until I could switch back to AT&T. C-Beyond is completely unresponsive to any and all requests for support once they realize you are not happy with them. They are still trying to bill me $1, 500 for services they completely failed to provide.
Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this business. I wish I had.

Don't sign up with them
I tried cancelling our services with this company and expected to pay a fee for early termination for our cell phones but instead was told that we would be faced with a $10, 000.00 EARLY TERMINATION FEE! The fast talking representative that signed us up never explained any of these IMPORTANT facts! She signed us up for three years and claimed discounts would offset our start-up costs! Now they want those discounts back... Define DISCOUNT?
It's not a LOAN!
Lesson learned. DON'T SIGN UP WITH CBEYOND! Get Internet Phones! Hardly any expense! Get OOMA or other Internet Phone Services!

Deceptive tactics
Cbeyond has defrauded a client of mine. They claim they have a contract with them based on their dealings with a lower level employee who has no authority to bind the company in contract. when the owners found out, they terminated the relationship. after terminating the contract, the cuased my client to lose long standing phone numbers. now customers cannot contact them. in addition, to interfering with their customers, they charged this exorbitant termination fee. In addition, to that we learned that cbeyond was charging about 200/300 percent more than normal phone service would cost. this is a clear scam with high pressure tactics. please stay vary far away from this company.

Left with no service for 3 days!
Our company was left with no service for 3 days! In the meantime they did not keep us apprised on the progress of the trouble ticket. It took me calling them (again) after the 2nd day ofno service and they still had not sent somebody to fix it! We had no communication for 3 days! NO FAX, NO LANDLINE, NO INTERNET! Thank god we had our cell phones (which we went another company due to horrible cell service!) We left Cbeyond because they just were not reliable. They let us out of the contract because they knew that their company had failed us. And now want us to backpay all of the installation charges!

Misrepresentation
When we signed our contract with Cbeyond, we added a laptop card that was supposed to be "unlimited data". Now that we are unable to cancel service with them, they freeze our laptop card, because we are in violation of "excessive laptop card usage" and they send us a list of prohibited laptop card use, which were not included to begin with in our original contract. After a month of calling and requesting restoration of the laptop card, and numerous promises of a call back to resolve this issue, it is finally restored, but we are now responsible for the month of unused laptop card. If you decide to go with this company, before you sign your contract, please ask them to send you all there undisclosed prohibited usage rules.

Beyond bad service
Buyer beware. This company promises the world and delvers very little. To set up new mobile phone was a four day nightmare, email-six day nightmare. T1 in the office is slow and has been down several times. 800 dollar cell phones, costly service calls, nickel and dime for extra calls, texts, emails, etc... If your phone breaks-cost at least 500 dollars to replace. Hope this is helpful to all to make a decision, if you go with Cbeyond, good luck...

Avoid them like plague
We recently launched an ad campaign involving a television commercial and some print ads. We wanted to create a "minisite" or subdomain with special content relating to the event being advertised (like sale.ourwebsite.com). Our web designer spoke to cBeyond, since they provide our web hosting, and they said that it was possible to set it up. However, days before the commercial was set to be aired, when the designer went to publish the minisite, we learned the real truth - that cBeyond "has never and does not currently support subdomains or multiple domains on any hosting products".
Our web master/designer told them to IMMEDIATELY change our nameservers over on our website, so that we could quickly migrate to a different hosting company who (like 99.999% of all hosts) supports subdomains. The plan would have saved us from wasting thousands on the ad campaign, except for one problem: even though our web master called them 3 times, on 3 different consecutive days, requesting that the change be made (the first time to request, the second two times to confirm that it was processing), the genius "technicians" at cBeyond changed the "wrong setting". We waited and waited for the migration to go through, and they kept saying that it was still processing... Finally, the night before the TV ads were scheduled to stop airing, we found out the truth - that they hadn't really even started the migration in the first place. By the time they actually started the process, it was too late.
CBeyond's incompetency cost us over $50, 000 in advertising, since none of the viewers of the ad were able to get on the website it was advertising! To top it all off, when we spoke to a "supervisor" after the fact, their only response was "that's an unfortunate turn of events, but there's nothing we can do about it". THAT'S IT! Not even an offer to give us some credit on our rip-off, overpriced $2, 000/month phone bill.
AVOID CBEYOND LIKE THE BLACK PLAGUE.
