Beware of Seller
I called to purchase a camera for $549, then was encouraged to buy more memory, batteries, and an extended warranty. This "package" came to $968.42 but included "free overnight shipping." When it didn't arrive the next day I attempted to get shipping/tracking information via e-mail (didn't work), via automated phone method (didn't work), and via multiple individuals who transferred me back and forth without providing ANY info on the shipping.

I sent an e-mail to three company addresses, but despite their claim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours, there was never a response. When the camera arrived four days later I returned it unopened, and found via my bank they charged me $1, 009.98. I never got an itemized list of charges. In disputing the transaction with my bank, they got me a credit from Broadway for $929.99; the difference of $79.99 was for "non-refundable shipping/handling." I have just filed a complaint with the BBB, probably my last option at getting the rest of my money back.

What a headache this has been, it amazes me they have gotten away with charging me $80 for nothing.

Greatly overcharged products
Like so many others, I ordered online and received a confirmation. A day later I was asked to call. It was then I was told that the "package" I order didn't include an automotive charger? Obviously the use is limited without this. When the charge price was thrown in the GPS was price at $75 more than Costco. Guess where I bought?

Scam artists
My son ordered online with the understanding that he would get the camera as specified. He is in college and not world wise. He was sold items that doubled the price of the camera when the camera as supposedly specified would have been totally acceptable. Now I learn that they are the same as Prestige. I ordered another camera at Prestige and they also asked for a verification call, which is not my usual online experience, and suggested that the item did not come with a battery (digital camera). He offered me one at $49.00. I told him that I would buy it elsewhere. He was belligerent towards me but I let it go. Then I get an email stating that the item is not in stock, when I had been told it was. I expect that this is their way of dealing with customers who don't bite on their methods. By the way, their online tracking does not work. Is it likely a non-functioning feature to look like a database.

Do not buy from hem
They list cameras much less than other retailers. Then they make you call and confirm your order. When you do not agree to purchase accessories, they send an email saying the item is backordered - despite it still being listed as available. This operation should be shut down, yet they have favorable and trusted seller ratings. DO NOT BUY.

Don't buy from them
I've spent 21 years in working in a government job that requires the up-most integrity and honesty. I bought a camera from Broadway Photo. They lied, the stole, they cheated. Only only wanted the camera at the advertised price. They tried to sell me the stand, cleaning kit, etc. for much more money. I said I didn't want it. They sent it anyway and my bill was for approx. 200 more than the camera! I tried to return everything and they wanted a 10% or 30 buck restock fee. I'm sure this is a scam to make money. I had to call my credit card company to contest everything they tried to charge! I would expect this from a third world country or crooks...they are the latter. Of all the blogs you are reading, heed to this one: Do not buy from Broadway Photo!

Do not order anything from this company
This is my first time lodging a complaint on any company be it online, verbally, or in a document. I have NEVER felt so strongly against a company as I do Prestige Photo and Broadway Photo . They bring NEW meaning to unethical business if they are a business at all. I ordered a camera on Oct 9th and they held up my order on the basis to UPSELL ME FOR A $100 BATTERY on the premise that the Panasonic battery only last 10 minutes before dying. I told them that I found it hard to believe that Panasonic would make a battery only capable of lasting 10 minutes. They told me that I was wrong. Furthermore when I ordered the camera on the 9th it stated that on their web site it was in-stock and ready to ship, when they forced me to call them on the 10th, the guy told me that the camera was in stock and would arrive in three business days. On the 13th miraculously NO PRODUCT TO SHIP AND NO DATE TO SHIP...but guess what they had other cameras they could sell me! The guy that screwed me was Mike Sicheri. This guy Mike Sicheri stated that it wasn’t his fault; he works on salary, and only fulfills orders. Mike Sicheri further blamed the problem on how the company was set up and refused to transfer me to a Supervisor rather send me to customer service that would NEVER pick up. I called numerous times and got hung up on or transferred to NO ONE. PLEASE... I BEG OF YOU, don’t waste your time going through what I went through DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE COMPANIES regardless of their price.

Avoid at all costs
I tried to purchase a camera from this website, because it turned up being the best price on the item I wanted, only to have them demand that I call them for a "security" check on my credit card. The person on the phone then proceeded to sell me a whole list of accessories for the camera I wanted, telling me that what came with the camera wasn't going to perform correctly. When I refused to purchase more items, he then told me the camera wasn't a US product, it was an import from Japan, and that all the camera menus and the manual were not in English, they were all in Japanese. When I told him I wanted the camera in English, he then told me the camera would cost another $300. I canceled my order, and I would urge anyone shopping for cameras NOT to shop here!

deceptive sales, bad customer support
I bought a Sony digital camcorder from them and they convinced me to buy an extra battery that when it was delivered was awkward and did not fit on the camera smoothly.
I also was convinced to buy a two year extended service contract from them. The touch screen stopped working on the camera but when I contacted Broadway Photo they told me the company has now gone out of business. Although another company is supposed to have taken over the work they are impossible to reach and I also was told that they charge for their work. Broadway photo should stand behind their products but they do not. Their sales people are deceptive and their customer support is terrible.
DO NOT BUY FROM BROADWAY PHOTO!!!

Terrible company
Attempted to purchase a Panasonic Digital Camera about $50. below current pricing. They press you to buy a battery for $60 to $90 to make it work. Question this choice and they say they will cancel.
