Poor service, rotten product
I placed an order for a Super Deluxe Basket to send to my aunt after my uncle passed away. I paid extra money for next morning delivery as they would be at the funeral home after that time. My aunt had never mentioned anything so I questioned if she received it four days later..No of course she didn't receive it. SO I asked for confirmation from the customer service team. They said that it was attempted, left at the door at 1 pm but seeing my aunt didn't receive it they would send it again (despite their policy being they are not responsible for items that go missing that are left at the door - which makes me think it was never delivered at all!). So two days after that, they deliver the basket and more than half of the fruit was rotten..completely rotten and unedible. My aunt threw out what wasn't good. So apparently that was wrong as she was supposed to call them, pay $10 for them to come pick it up and replace her GIFT. Forgive me but when you pay $100 for a basket, it should be on time and it should be edible. Why should the recipient pay $10 to get a replacement of what was sent to them as a gift and should be good to begin with?? The company refuses to admit any wrongdoing, will not give me a refund but is willing to send another basket "free of charge", like they are doing me a favour. If I can have at least one other person not use this company, it would be great and that's all I ask for.
Also if you look at the Better Business Bureau, they are given a score of F for not responding to complaints, with over 200 active complaints against them right now. They do not care about their customers at all...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Terrible Product/Service
Bloomex is absolutely terrible. They must rely on the fact that it is hard for recipients to tell the 'giver' that their gift was so bad. My (long distance) boyfriend has used them a couple of times and I don't have the heart to tell him how horrible the flowers are when they arrive. The pictures and descriptions on the website are all lovely. The flowers that arrive are wilted and brown. There is none of the promised variety or 'filler' greens/baby's breath. There is also no customer service if you try to complain. No one answers the phone and they refuse to do anything about the terrible service. I'm going to have to go through the uncomfortable process of telling my boyfriend this time because it kills me that he's spending so much money on such a terrible product.

Poor service
This is your warning. DO NOT order from this company. Truly worst service I have experienced. Called the company and none of the departments could figure out where my order was. None of the departments are integrated. The customer service reps have poor attitudes and are unfriendly. I cannot see how anyone would have a good experience. I'm sure this company will not exist for a long time. Save your money!!!

Failed delivery of service
DON'T USE BLOOMEX! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!

What I'm about to write has been echoed by thousands of other people as I found out by simply using a google search for Bloomex. Too bad I didn't google first:

I ordered flowers for my wife to be delivered on Saturday, 17 October 2009 and paid to have 'same day' delivery. They were supposed to be there by 5pm and by 6pm my wife said they hadn't arrived. I called Bloomex and was told they would be there shortly. By 730pm they still weren't there so I called back again and was told the same thing.

Sunday morning, they still hadn't come so I called and complained. I told them I wouldn't pay and was told a rep would call me back. Anka called me back and told me I would pay either the order fee or a cancellation fee. When I explained that Bloomex failed to deliver and the delivery was no longer required, she stated she would investigate and if what I claimed was true then I wouldn't have to pay the cancellation fee. She then said that Angela, her manager would call me Monday.

By 6pm on Monday, I grew tired of waiting for a call back. I had called 3 times and emailed twice leaving all the required information for them (on voicemail for the calls) and received no response. I emailed the company again stating I didn't want their product and that I wouldn't pay any money at all.

Finally I received an email stating the product I ordered was in stock and ready to be shipped on Tuesday!!! THREE DAYS LATE!!! I was told in that email that if I chose to cancel, I would be charged a cancellation fee of $25!! I wrote back stating I would pay nothing. I have emailed their head office but have been ignored (apparently that is the company policy for Bloomex... ignore customers).

DON'T USE THIS BUSINESS! They are scam artists and extortionists!

STAY AWAY FROM BLOOMEX!

NEVER DELIVERED FLOWERS TO MY SON-IN-LAW FUNURAL
I ordered Flowers for my daughters fiaenc'es funeral online Thur 9/24/09. I called that same night for conformation on address and delivery. She confirmed the address and delivery date. I paid extra for them to arrive Friday 9/25/09 before 12:00. When I discovered they were not there. I called, my husband called, the funeral directory called. NO ONE RETURNED OUR CALLS. Sat 9/26/09, the day of the funural the flowers were still not there. I paid 80.00 for nothing. This is a disgrace and a dishonor not to deliver these flowers with my daughters note attached stating how much she loved him and will miss him. I depended on there word. I WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM. This is so wrong.

Poor Communication and customer service!!
I ordered flowers for my mother for her birthday. Living away from her, I randomly chose a "local" florist in hopes of making the process easy (my error). On the internet, Bloomex lists a local Calgary number and shows a local address on Google map. I thought this would be simple enough. Do not be fooled.

To summarize a long story, after sending me an email that the flowers had been delivered, they then contacted me and said that the courier had actually tried to deliver them, but that the phone number and address were "wrong". I did not realize that my mom had changed her home phone as we always talk via cell. I had provided them with her cell as an alternate number, but they apparently did not try to contact her by cell. I provided them with the new home number and told them the address was indeed correct. But, they continued to insist in repeated emails that they needed a new address. When I finally talked to someone and they read the "wrong" address back to me, it was the original correct address. This was after I had spoken to someone on the phone already and my mom had spoken to them three times over one day. She said that she would be happy to stop into the shop and pick up the flowers, but they said there was no shop, only processing centers. I tried the helpline again later in the day, only to get a recorded message. I used the "1" trick and talked to a lady who reported to me that I needed to give a correct address for the courier. All this after my mother, who is the recipient, had spoken to them three times, and I had spoken to someone, as well as emailed someone, reporting that the original address was correct. It was like a distorted version of Groundhog Day.

They subsequently told my mom that they would deliver the flowers at 6 p.m. the day after her birthday. Then it turned into "9 p.m. or the next day". It is now the next day (tumbleweeds blowing by)...No apology was made to her at anytime. I received an explanation after they had inaccurately reported the flowers as delivered, but no further help or apology from there. No one has thus far has told me when the flowers will be delivered. I had to get the info. from my mom about the above delivery time(s) (way to take the excitement out of the act of giving flowers).

It is true that you have to hit "1" (Place an Order) to actually talk to someone. I tried the help line several times and only got a message. In order to get help you have to go to the "Place an Order" selection. It became a game for us to see who could be the first person to reach a live voice on the help line. No winner yet.

On the bright side I was able to talk to my mom several times on and after her birthday. We were able to bond a little over the situation.

Bottom Line: Poor communication, Lack of good customer service. You are not getting any sort of amazing super deal to justify ruining the act of trying to give someone flowers .

I have used 1-800-Flowers and Pro Flowers several times without a problem. Bloomex is a good choice if you are in Business School and want to do a project involving ineffective customer service.

"Same day delivery guaranteed" NOT!
Ordered flowers to be delivered to Montreal. Order was placed at 10am. Web site says "Same day delivery guaranteed if you place your order before 1pm". Flowers were not delivered. I called the next day to complain and was told it was due to "technical difficulties" - whatever that means. So I asked about the guarantee. Was told they try to do their best. Once again I asked about the guarantee. Bottom line - guarantee is worthless and only because I ordered with a credit card am I receiving a refund. Avoid this company. Avoid!

Product not representative / Late Delivery
I just stumblerd onto this website.. 3 years ago I ordered flowers for a funeral.. they were to be delivered to the funeral parlor by a specific date & time.. they were not.. I called the customer service right away for info. and they told me that I had to order by a specifc time in order to have the guarentted delivery .. why did thye not tell me this when I placed the order.. ?

Also what I got was not representative of the picture they have on the website.the bouquet was much smaller, less flowers and the base was not the same. . be very weary about ordering from this place.

They then sent me an email to see how I liked my experience ordering from them and what not.. I was completely honest wiht them and told them.. guess what? Never got a return email or any sort of attempt for complensation..

Avoid Bloomex - Zero Customer Service
I ordered flowers for my fiance as she had a hard day and was feeling down. I ordered before 1pm in order to take advantage of the guaranteed 5pm delivery. Flowers were never delived. Received an email from Bloomex stating non-delivery was due to "technical difficulty". I could NEVER get anyone when calling customer service - always got "no agent is available" and to go to the website and click on the flashing "operator is online" button. I only had one request, I wanted Bloomex to contact my fiance and appologize to her for not sending the flowers. I chatted online with Julie, Karen, Dancan, and Crystal. Not one called my fiance with an apology (yet 2 told me they would). I was told by one that they were only operators and not customer service and was told by another that "all would be resolved after investigation" - whatever that means. I asked about the "guaranteed delivery if ordered by 1pm". Received no answer. I am very very very disappointed. Customer service is a worthless joke.
