Terrible experience
In short, I've decided this morning to move forward with the acceptance of the agreement despite feeling extremely disappointed. It's the only way I can move forward in this situation. It is only for a year and at that time I will get my money back, but trust me I have learned a lot about the experience and going forward I will know that no one has your best 'interest' at mind except literally the bank.

Overcharged
Bank of America will pick and choose in what order charges appear on your statement, in order to charge overdraft fees. They intentionally re-order the largest amount first regardless of date made, and even whether anything has actually posted or not. Bank of America will charge an overdraft fee when the system they use, (not available for view by customers), says that you have overdrawn your account. Even when the direct website www.bankofamerica.com says there is money available.
When you accidentally go over by a dollar or two the bank does not give you a chance to put funds in the account because they immediately charge you an insufficient funds fee before the transaction even shows as pending. With the re-ordering of posts and they immediate NSF charge they have turned one small overdraft into seven. They have done this to me and my wife several times. there have been many times we would check our balance and then the next day (even without spending a dime ) our balance wound be at negative 300 dollars.
Keep the change is a bad idea if you do not have a large safety net in the bank it provides an easy opportunity to charge you a 10 dollar fee for transferring the keep the change that has not even hit your savings account where you can transfer it yourself.

disguised offer
Hi,
Today is 11/25/2008 and it is 8:28 PM.
A lady called twice. I pick up the second time. It was a woamn from Bank of America telling me that I will be receving a credit report from them and BOA will be monitoring my credit report and protecting my privacy and account info if anything happen to my credit rating. I will look into my frre credit report she will send and inform them of wrong info they will correct. I will have 30 days trial period.
She asked me if I understood that I will receive this info and the credit report, and if I understood the ton of information she provided me she said in less. She waited for me to say yes, but of all what she said I remembered hearing that I will have "30 days trial period".
I told her that I did not understand the purpose of her call and her intent clearly. Indeed, she was trying to make me agree and approve her service that indeed is a disguised offer that I never requested. She did say trial period of 30 days among all what she said about the service but she never said that I would be billed after 30 days.
Fortunately I grab the "30 days trial period" out of the 200 words or more she threw at me concerning my credit report and them monitoring it. This only allowed me to step back and tell her I believe it was a disguised offer ... that is when she hang up on me.
Be careful to this CREDIT REPORT mailed to you and the bank monitoring it. It appears at first as if they are taking of a preventive and precautionary measure they want us to be informed off BUT it turns out to be a disgusied sale speech that only the words "30 days trial period" can reveal if you got them out of her rapidly delivered speech. So never say yes if you are not sure of what point she is making of her intent.
She never explicitly revealed the purpose of her call. And as a customer of BOA (having accounts with them), please do not hang up on me people of BOA ... even if you get caught at your own game!
I do personal business with you and my position as an accountant force me to do official business with you as well. So your residential startegy also impact your business customers.

Fraud and cheating
This is what Bank of America did to me. We bought our home in December 2006. It is an older home and needed a lot of repair. They had an appraisal done and appraised the home at $105, 100.00. The was bought for $52, 000.00. Well we purchased our own home owners insurance and the insurance and the yearly taxes were escrowed into the payment of the home.
Our payments were $496.00. The next thing we know they sent a payment book in February 2008 with the payment amount of $2, 110.00 a month. We thought it ws a typo until we went to pay the payment. Well the had no explanation to why at the time. Well we checked into it further that they had not paid our insurance or taxes. They lapsed our insurance and force placed their insurance of $13, 000.00. That put our escrow out of whack by -$20, 000.00. Well we couldn't afford that. We tried to get more insurance and because we don't have a central heat and air unit and new siding on the house we can't get insurance. The home was built in 1920 and needs updates. The Florida commission said until we get these updates and due to the fact the back let our insurance lapse we won't be able to get new insurance. Well the home is in foreclosure. We have been to court twice now and the judge agreed there is a discrepancy on there part. The court both times we have went come out in our favor. The next day after court Bank of America hired SAFE-Loc to enter our home and change all of the locks on the doors. A week later they hird some other guy to cut the grass. They gave him the new keys to the home. First of all if he is cutting the grass why does he need to enter the home? Anyway he entered the home and started removing the contents that was still in the home. Well remember the judge has not awarded them the home. We went to the local sheriff's office and tried to get a No- Tresspass warrant to no avail. We have no lawyer cause we can't afford one and have been fighting this ourselves. We go back to court on November 5, 2008. I just hope that they fix our credit cause they have really messed it up. I hope they reward us either the home or they money we have paid into the home including the money used for remodeling. Something has to give.

Overcharged
Due to other companies taking ach debits without permission I requested Bank of America to close my account, they refused due to the account being in a negative. I then asked for a hold to be placed on account so no further ach debits could be processed. I was also told this was not possible.
After a month of ach debits i racked up almost $1500 in overdraft fees. The bank decided to transfer $950 from my other checking account to cover some of the outstanding fees, leaving me; a single mother of 3 young children totally broke with no money to pay rent, or put food on my table. I went to a branch where I explained the situation and a HOLD was put on my account within seconds. If this hold was put on the account a month earlier when I asked and was wrongly told it was not possible; none of these overdraft charges would have been adding up all that time.
I have made numerous phone calls, sent letters, emails, etc with absolutely no help in the matter. The only return call I got from the bank was to ask me when I planned on making a deposit to cover the remaining overdrafts? NEVER! I currently show a -$402 balance.
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone might be able to give in this situation.

Unknown service provider
BofA claims no knowledge of this company AND no affiliation. They are full of crap! I have been "offered 2months worth of charges" credited back to my account and told to file a complaint with the "Fraud" dept @ B/A...Which doesn't have a phone# listing!!! Yet the polite little girl on the end of the line said she could transfer me directly to them at which time I got a voice recorded message that says they were busy and to call back later...Blow Me!
