For the past two weeks my internet speed has been very slow..I have the 6 Mb service which i only get about 1 Mbto 3 Mb from time to time. I subscribe to a online movie site and with this kind of speed its irritating watching anything at the least. Well I finally called up ATT and talked with a rep so he immediately transfered me to another tech (i dont know why) and she did a test on the line and came back with a soloution that there was something wrong with their wiring. She said she will have to make an appointment for a tech to come out and fix the problem. The tech came and took one look at my dsl modem and said oh its your modem without doing any type of technical test. Then he offered me one from his inventory for $100 dollar. Mind you that he did not even touch my moedm nor made any attempt to diagnose it. I told him that it was working fine a few weeks ago but he insist it was my dsl modem. I declined his offer and proceeded with the slow 1 mb speed which is crap. After a week and a half my internet has since gone up in speed i done knwo what happened i just never called them back, I figured i just ride out my one year contract and then dump them. Dont know how long my connection will stay this way but if you really want high speed internet dont go with ATT they suck and i mean really suck.. they do not deliver what they promiss Customer service is good but that does not make up internet speed. Tech's are lazy and you will never get the speed you pay for so go else where. Thats my 2 cents ...
