Handle it
June 7, 2011
Horrible Customer Service
Held 39 minutes - tranfered-disconnected - held 25 minutes - disconnected again-transfered 3 more times. The people there do not know what they are doing. This company need competitors. They own the market and they should not. They can't handle the load and there is no threat you can make to going somewhere else. Over and hour and 1/2 on the phone just trying to return a device they sold me that doesn't work. Insane

BEING LIED TO
We changed our cell phone service from Verizon to AT & T . Always had to go to the store every month for extra charges that were on our bill. We spoke to a Joycelyn Holley at the AT & T store at 6315 N. May Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma just to see what kind of plans that they had and what our monthly bill would run. I work at a local hospital and we get a very good % deal off of our cell phone service if we go with AT & T. So we decided to switch. We asked multiple times while we were in the store if it mattered rather the account was in my name or my husbands name to get the discount as I was the one employed at the hospital. She explained to us multiple times that it didnt matter. She even asked a manager that was there in the store that day if it matterered. And again we were told no it didnt matter. We didnt care rather the account was in my husbands name or mine and since it wasnt going to make a difference we just put it in his name.
After the secound bill cycle I noticed there was no discount. I called the store and was told that it might take one more bill cycle for it to kick in. I finally called the AT & T Customer service to check on the discount. They told me that we couldn't get the discount as the account wasnt in my name. And that they sent us a text message letting us know that. First off we never recieved a text message fromt them and I think that is very un professional to send a text message anyway. I told the lady that I was talking to that we wanted out of our contract then, that Joycelyn Holley had lied to us. Of course she was very rude and told me that could not happen. I then told her that I wanted her to contact the manager at the AT & T store at 6315 N. May Ave in Oklahoma City and to talk with the manager to let him know that Joycelyn Holley had bold face lied to us. And that I wanted a call back form him. Well that never happen either. Never heard a word back from any of them. I was told that we could fill out a form to have the account switched into my name. I feel that it isnt my responsibility to do so. And we had already been ripped of 4 months on our bill. We havent decided yet to just buy our contract out or to let it ride with the liers. I wonder how many other people Mrs. Holley has lied to and screwed over.

Disgusting service
Some dildo piled our dumpster chock full to the brim with brand new AT & T phonebooks most in orange bags and a number in boxes. Not only is this illegal but it deprives the tenants such as myself of the use of the dumptster which overflows when outside jerks not tenants do this-as well as against the health department regulations. Done from Thur Jan 20 to early AM Sat Jan 22-Dumpster is picked up on Tuesday night.

Will not honor own store policy
I will never will go to this store again. The manager didn't understand the basic store policy, and the sales person even rolled her eyes at the customer, very rude. Bought NEW iphone from this store, when opened the home button didn't work, took back and didn't want to return for refund only wanted a replacement. The two young girls, at the reception desk, said "Well they didn't think they had any iphones left in stock, so there was nothing they could do, I could just send my phone to Apple. After requesting a manager, who finally did speak to my husband and myself, she didn't understand her own store policy and finally just told us if we returned it she would have to charge a restock fee of 15%. I tried to explain to this dense woman that didn't want to return it to restock just replace a brand new faulty device. Finally she said she couldn't do anything but we could just go to apple store at Nashville TN, a 2 hour drive. We left as the people working at this specific store had the IQ of a peanut. Drove to Nashville Apple store, and was told there was NO policy from Apple that stated the a NEW iphone had to be sent to them for replacement since we bought it new and was never used, easy to verify, the retail store was obligated to honor it's OWN store policy. The helpful salesperson there said the AT & T store didn't understand their own store policy and she would be very angry at having to drive several hours out of the way due to their ignorance. She kindly told us it was AT & T store that sold it and should have replaced it and we have it in writing. She said we were not the first customers that this specific store (in Bowling Green, KY) has misrepresented the policy to and we have since contacted Customer Service at the Corporate office at AT & T, as I am sure they do not want to be know for this type of poor customer service. Go to this store at your own risk, there are serious issues in their service and I was informed there is a lawsuit being developed against them. Hopefully someone who does know the business and actually cares about the customer will take over, if this was the only contact I would have had with AT & T, I would have run to another provider! disappointed young girl. I have previously recommended all to all my friends and relatives to switch to At & T for the superior service they could receive as I had up to now. What can be done? I am very upset with this specific store in Bowling Green KY. I am ready to terminate all from AT & T. Up to this point I was very pleased

new phone service
I contacted at & t for new home service (landline) because we it was medically necessary. Our 3yr old son is battling cancer and we needed a dedicated landline to insure communications. Upon setting up a service agreement we received our new phone number, but the service was not to be turned on for five more days. So we sent letters to all medical places that we will have a new phone number in five days and here is the new number. We later receive an email from at & t stating our new number was different than what we were already given. So I called, and was told that somewhere in the fine print it says that they may change our phone number. So now I had to quick get more letters out stating that I apologize, here is the new number. Wow, the postage is killing me now. So I waited and the phone never came on. I contacted at & t they said a tech was out and made sure the service was on. Then I went out in the yard to see that there are no fresh footprints in the snow going to the phone box. I called them back and said no one was here. So I waited and waited, and then they tell me that no one was there, but that everything 'should be working'. This is dragging on because without a tech here, they tell me that they think the problem may be in my apartment. I said, send a tech here now. They said, they will have one there between the hours of 8am-8pm sometime withing the next 4 days...WHAT!!! My son has medical equipment that sends data, via landline, to the hospital 6 times throughout the day to that they can help monitor him while he is at home. At & t were aware of this from day one, why can't they get this corrected. On top of that, I have to try and contact another department to get a credit for the days missed. I am wasting too many precious hours with this. At & t, this is something that should have been handled with a 15 minute phone call for new service, and then no other problems to follow. Not a good way to start a relationship with a new customer.

Data Plan
I think AT&T require a data plan on phones is outrageous. How can the company just change the requirement, one without notifying anyone in advance that the contract was being changed. I've been with the company since they were cingular. I dropped my phone in water. I have a Blackjack that I don't like which they consider a smartphone. I don't want the internet on my phone. It runs down the battery that doesn't last long anyway. The only reason I have to use that phone is because I cant upgrade. I get that the phones were designed for socializing etc etc but I don't want to do that so why do I have to pay for something I don't want. we should all set a time and date to call at&t and complain nationwide at the same time so they will get our message

hidden charges
When I switched to At & T they promised they could save me money if I put my internet with my phone. I canceled Time Warner in hopes of saving money and instead recieved numerous hidden fees. My first bill was 296.00. I wanted to cry. Where am I suppose to get that kind of $ when I'm trying to save money. No-one mentioned the instalation fees!! I'm worse off than I was.

Terrible Company
Ok, so I cancelled my land line with AT & T back in 2008 for false charges, bad service, awful customer service, inability to fix my line and various other reasons. I argued with them for months that I did not owe them anything, that my account was already paid, I was also having financial difficulty at that time. Lo and behold they turned me over to collections. Well, I just wasn't going to pay them, they LIE. Well, here it is on my credit report, ok, so I was stupid at the time. Well, now I have offered to pay them IF they would send me a letter indicating that they would delete it from my credit report. Of course they refused. I turned them over to the BBB. Today I received a call from Ms. Collins - she was nasty and downright rude and did not even want to listen and just refused to send me the letter because "it has been on your credit report for 2 years". I asked if they had a policy to this effect, she said they did but REFUSED to send me a copy, indicating that I need to get it from the BBB when she sends her report in. I am so glad I got rid of them. People need to STOP using ATT now!!! They are too big and don't give a damn about anyone. They lie, add charges that aren't real, and have terrible unprofessional employees.

unauthorized charges
phone bill had charges of 14.95 + .90 tax to this company under heading of "transaction Clearing". Dont have any idea what these charges are for. Looks like a scam. AT&T should stop this. I guess AT&T needs the money worse than than they need to protect their customers.

Disgraceful employee
As I gassed up my vehicle at the Oconomowoc Kwik Trip, a AT & T employee walks to his AT & T U Verse van. He opens a pack of cigarettes and flings the wrapper on the ground. I said, hey how is it going. How about picking up the wrapper you just let fly. He looks on the ground at it...waits...looks at me and says, "mmmm, how about not". Gets in his van and drives off. His Liscense plate number is: 8226. I called AT & T to report. They said a manager will call me back in 24-48 hours. Still haven't heard from them!
