Ashley's Towing company are scandalous crooks with unethical business practices. They stole my vehicle today claiming the were authorized to tow it, though they refused to enlighten me as to who gave them this
"authorization". My legally registered vehicle (plates, tags, the whole set up current) was parked at the apartment complex, where I am a tenat, in the same legitiment parking spot that I have used daily for the past 4 months. Due to a plumming issue (that had nothing to do with me) the rear tires of my vehicle were 2 feet (at the most) outside of the white lines for the parking spot to avoid stepping in a foul puddle. The property owner/manager is aware of this parking spot, its use, and the need to allow space for excess water and such from the plumming issue. I was authorized BY THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY to use this spot as such. Never once has it been a problem. If anyone would've asked me, I would have moved it. Instead, I awake to find they've crept in and removed it from the property. Now they say it's $250 to get it out today! Ridiculous. Brett, the rude man I spoke with from their company and supposed supervisor, offered minimal information and no help. I don't see how this is legal at all. Legal actions will be taken on my end to correct this injustice, but I'd like to show them my appreciation for the hassle of the process by posting this account of my experience with the company that is "bringing the towing industry to another level". Guess it's accurate advertising. If anybody has an advice on effective legal steps, or resources for this situation, please let me know.
