This is the first time that I have encountered a mortgage company that calls daily after the 1st of the month to ask when they can expect my payment. The payment is due between the 1st and the 16th but by the 2nd, they are calling. In the past, I have dealt with Ameriquest and Countrywide and never had anyone call to find out when or if a payment should be expected.
They even suggested once that I make a payment over the phone by cheque, cost - $22.00 to avoid late fees, and still charged me a late fee. What is going on with this company.
