It is not a simple task.

You may not cancel online, imagine that. I not only notified them online to cancel my service and I forbid that they continue to make automatic withdrawals from my account.

Well, they did it anyway. I will be waiting on pins and needles to see if they can actually cancel everything properly.

In case you don't know, you must either make a phone call or send a fax.

Isn't it amazing that they don't make it that hard to startup service with them?

Of course, the entire time you are on the phone trying to cancel, they are trying to talk you into keeping the service, and then get snippy when they finally really it's a lost cause.

aol opened an account with out my PERMISSION.
i have no land line phone. i use verizon wireless.

from jan to june aol ran my card 16 times.
14 times the card was declined.
4 times they STOLE $155.80

I cancelled my Account three times before September, 2007. They are still debiting monthly of $32.90 from my account! I cannot make them stop.

I am the widow of Joseph E. Perry. I have closed that account and they are still trying to get the $32.90 from me! He died in May 2008 ! It is now November 2008! (almost!)

I have attempted to notify AOL that I do not want AOL service. This was a service that was to be free for a short period, that I did not want, and have not used. I do not want to be billed for this service. Please note that I had sent a message that I did not want AOL... I will notify my credit card company that I am disputing this bill for $25.90, ated 09/08/07.
