I have to say this college is incredibly wrong. I have been looking for an online college to attend for my vet tech associates degree. AIU called me to find out what I was looking for and when I told them that I had already chosen to go with Penn Foster, the representive proceeded to tell me that Penn Foster is NOT an accredited college. That raised some concern, or course, so I double checked. I found, using the BBB.gov website, that Penn Foster is an accredited college! I couldn't believe that AIU would actually lie about another college just to try to convince me to go to them instead. I wonder if they realize that by doing so, they committed a crime by slandering another college? To be honest, I don't think they care and I hope that they will be sued! I AM AN AIR FORCE VETERANAND I INTEND TO USE MY G.I. BILL BENEFITS TO GO TO COLLEGE. IT'S MY ONLY SHOT TO FURTHER MY EDUCATION AND KNOWING THAT THERE ARE COLLEGES SUCH AS AIU THAT WOULD CHEAT VETERANS OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED BENEFITS JUST SICKENS ME! HOW DARE THEY TREAT THOSE THAT PROTECT THEIR FREEDOMS SO SHAMEFULLY!

AUI will not stop calling me. I've told them numerous times that I was not interested. I don't know how my number got passed along to them. I had been on Careerbuilders most of the day looking for employment. All of a sudden I am getting calls from every online university that you can think of. I asked AIU to take me off their call list, they said they would, but still just keep calling. I have about four messages a day. I told them again last night. I am going to have to report them to the DO NOT CALL list.

First, let me tell my military folks who are abroad if you want an education make sure it is not this college AIU! they are liars, manipulators and their staff is trained to get your money. Back in 2006 I was stationed on the USS John C. Stennis and I was in and out of port. We had to go to San Diego, CA a couple times to test the ship. I enrolled in the college during my tenure with the United States Navy. I wanted to get an education and take a few courses. AIU rep contacted me and said that they do have military tuition assistance and for me to send my military tuition voucher. I did, after they got my 1000 dollars of tuition assistance they did not contact me I would try to login to class and it will give me a error message reading financial hold or see financial aid. While they were insisting on getting my tuition assistance voucher once they got it they stop communcation with me completely. They said that I did not get approve for the loan, and that I won't be charged for the enrollment process. The women stated, that I will be okay I already paid $1000 dollars. It is funny because now their saying that I was awarded $1000 dollars which is a LIE! I couldn't even get a loan but I would get an award? No, stupid people the $1000 dollars is what you took from the military my tuition assistance money! They lied repeatedly and stop communication with me I was then on a three month deployment and I did not receive any letters stating that I owe the college. Two years later when I am trying to purchase a home I see that they passed me over to American Collection Systems. Collecting $4, 292.10 for what? for not getting the loan, not going to the college so they will take it into their own hands and mark my credit! I called and spoke to ACS and the lady stated, "if you want to go seek legal advice why don't you go get educated laughing while saying this, they stated, "maybe you should go get legal advice maybe they can educate you! The staff at American Collection System is disgusting and rude! TRASH! they are accusing me for taking 4 classes when I wasn't even able to take 1 class. I am blogging all over the internet about this college they deserve to be SHUTDOWN! malpractice and LIES! I am going to take action on this matter, THIS IS AMERICA! WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISPUTE ALL CHARGES THAT IS FALSE AND IS INACCURATE! AIU YOU CAN NOT SCAM AND CONDUCT YOUR BUSINESS IN A UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER! WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CHEAT US! LIE TO US! AND DISGRACE THE COLLEGE EDUCATION SYSTEM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! ONE DAY SOMEONE WILL DO THIS TO YOUR CHILD AND YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE SITUATION AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR CHILD GO DOWN IN DEBT! YOU WILL SEE AND FEEL THE PAIN OF EVERYONE WHO DOES WORK HARD FOR A LIVING TO GIVE TO YOUR CHILD THE BEST EDUCATION AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO LET YOU DISTURB OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM AND LIE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR DISGUSTING ACTS! WE WILL PREVAIL AND WHAT GOES AROUND WILL COME BACK AROUND TO YOU TEN FOLD! I AM ANGRY AND I WILL SHOW THE WHOLE WORLD WHAT A FAKE COLLEGE YOU RUN AND HOW YOUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IS RUINING OUR STUDENTS LIVES! YOU ARE A LIAR AND A CHEATER COMPANY AND YOU NEED TO BE SHUTDOWN! I signed up to go to College online to save money, and I ask for a grant and the college AIU told me I was too young, but they signed me up for govt assistant. I told them I and my mom did not want to spend a lot of money, that we could not afford. So I depended on them to work with me on the paper work, and do what they said. I signed a letter giving my mom the ok to work with them also. My mom arrange to make payments to them also, to help save money, my mom constantly ask them not to have a high bill, they assured my mom, that I had Scholarships and govt assistant. The college constantly asked me to go to their college longer, and when I said no, they would not allow me to graduate from the college, they continued to do paper work on their own, I was constantly told to go to this page to see this, and that, but the college did the paper work, and never discussed the amount being spent with me or my mom. When they kicked me out of the college, and I only had one class to go to complete, but they continued to take money and never told me. I and my mom has written to AIU requesting an investigation on this matter, and no one will respond, my mom has called and ask for all paper work for these big loans now that me and my mom has found out after the fact. 35,000 with Wachovia, 22,000 with Sallie Mae. And also have added my Dad name as a co signer and my Dad never co signed on any loans, if AIU had explained to me and my mom about the outrageous prices, and the loans, we would have said no, but they did not, they just did it, and never discussed with me or my mom. I and my mom have spoke to Sallie Mae and Wachovia, telling them I only went to school online and it was not for 2 years, and there is no way I could have and would have requested this kind of money. I believe and so do my mom that Fraud has taken place here, and AIU will not respond or investigate the matter, I am asking the Board of Education to investigate this matter, also I would like to request that I can file for a forgiveness of this Debt, on the basis of Fraud.
