I had arranged a move of my parent’s house hold in Barnegat NJ for August 17, 2009. This was a two part move in which 2 rooms and a car was to be delivered to my brother’s house in Florida, and the remaining items to a storage facility in West Paterson. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service that we received from Advanced Moving Lines. The service that they provided was poor and substandard and a great inconvenience to me and my family. Here’s a list of the issues:

• They arrived late I believe the time was supposed to be between 11:00 & 12:00 they arrived 2:45pm.
• After the truck was packed my brother and I were hit with the bill in which they under estimated by $500.00 – $600.00 each
• The driver then asked if he could deliver the goods tomorrow before 3:00 PM instead of that evening after I had already called the storage facility and got an extension of access time until midnight, I had agreed. The next day came and no one called to give me an update, so I called them and they had no idea when the goods were to be delivered. The next day came and I called Advanced again and they still could not tell me when I could expect delivery, then at last minute notice they came to deliver the goods at ~7:00 PM on Wednesday Aug.19, 2009, In which case I had to arrange for my brother-in-law to be there and receive the goods because I had a prior appointment.
• The car was scheduled to be picked up the same day but the car carrier never arrived. Advanced arranged for a different car carrier to pick up, but not until the next evening for an additional $30.00. This forced my brother and nephew to have to stay an extra night in an empty non-equipped house!
• A wardrobe box with 2 chairs and clothing and a humidifier was mistakenly delivered to Florida and was supposed to be delivered to the storage facility in West Paterson. This has still not been received!
• The shipment to Florida had lost all the mounting screws for the dinning room table, and new scratches to the table top were discovered.
• A long dresser had its bottom moldings broken loose during unloading to the storage facility.
• An ornate decorative glass floral item was broken.

I spoke with Angelo from Advanced on August 25, 2009 and he had agreed to place a credit to AMEX for the $450.00 amount. I still have not recieved the credit!
