Scam free advertising website
I browsed through a website today regarding free advertising naming adleaf (www.adleaf.com).
Stated on the website "An Adleaf is a text advertisement that shows the advertisement placed by members in the Adleaf network. In exchange, the advertisement will appear in the websites of members who also participate in the Adleaf network. In this way, the Adleaf community help each other promote their website or blogs. An Adleaf is very similar to the text advertisement that Google AdWords or Yahoo Overture network offers. The difference is that you don't have to pay to advertise!"
Seeing these statements excited me and without losing time, I signed up, get the code and quickly paste it on my website.
When I first seen it display on my website, I saw the adleaf advertisement is a bit aligned to the bottom. Then I remembered that there is a value on the height written in the code. Therefore I increase the height so as to let it distribute more evenly. To my surprise ... I should say SHOCK! I saw "Ads by google" phrase in the adleaf box. If you do not believe me, increase the height of the ad.
This can easily be explained. Adleaf is just writing a javascript wrapper around Adsense. This will not display the code of Adsense. The wrapper will register your clicks and you will get some "impression". But who is payee for Adsense? ADLEAF! Who is placing the advertisement on the webpage? Whoever is lured & signed up with adleaf.
It is true we do not need to pay, but our advertisement will not be shown anywhere and we are helping whoever is behind adleaf to EARN! Because this adleaf is definitely scamming using us to earn via ADSENSE!
