They called my boyfriend a "racist" when he tried to get one of the two movers attention. One was black and one was white, they had just arrived, so he called out "hay, um black guy" as he was trying to tell them were to go. Melvin did the yelling, he was white, the African American David, who came with no socks, untied shoes, pants well below the bottom of his bottom, and a (sorry to use this term) "wife beater" did not seem to have a problem with the "hay, um, back guy." He spent most of his time texting on his phone, while Melvin, smoked and yelled.
Later when they could not figure out to turn the table to get it in the door, and me and my boyfriend, and ex mover, both tried to tell them to just turn it and get the legs in first, Marvin, or Melvin, I forget his name, challenged my boyfriend to "come down stairs, and I'll kick your ass".
My boyfriend has black, or African Americans, if you will, in his family, and I know he is not a racist.
My second, and the largest issue is that they did not only not try to get my piano off there truck to get in in my second floor apartment, but they charged me more to take it back to its primary destination.
It was my late grandmothers 1920's stand up right piano. I've waited years to get it.
I hired a moving company specifically due to the piano.
The man on the phone who I called to complain at the time said It wasn't there fault they don't "ALWAYS" go look at the moving situation first.
The bid was $282, with out the book shelf, with 5 boxes and 2 bikes. I can send you the confirmation email.
They charged me $50 higher for the washer and drier that was 3 houses down, I already told Ashley (the sales lady on the phone) about. She said it was no problem. But due to them restarting there truck and moving literally a few houses down that was $25. extra, so was the taking my beloved piano back. They did not put my table in the guest room as I requested, and did not hook up my washer and dryer as the web-sight said they would.
I know of no other service that charges extra for a job not done while insulting and challenging to "kick the customers ass."
Melvin said the not being able to get the piano in, and taking it back was the only time this had happened before.
I was given no warning about the extra fee's and am disgusted by the whole ordeal.
What do I do?
