Hughesnet ripping me off
I have had hughesnet for about 3 months. I am sick to my stomach. I bought the pro package that says I would be getting up to 1000 down and 200 up on downloads. I am only getting 60 to 70 per cent of that. Not only that, but when i complain, it gets me nothing. They recently tried an upgrade on their web mail and caused me to lose orders and customers due to them having the e-mail servise down longer than they originally said. Not only that but when they finally went back to the original because the upgrade did not work( representative of hughesnet) my existing e-mails were gone. Yes stolen right off my computer.Other issues with them is how they define downloads. My computer was off for a solid week while i was on vacation and when i came back home and checked usage. I had usage that they were accounting for. My modem was even off. Thay are still charging for downloads when they are no downloads taken place. They tell me if a website i visit has a picyure, it is a download. I say bull. Also when I file a grievance using their chat line, they freeze it so i can't send my transcript to my inbox for a record of complaint. I have been diconnected, hung up on, and had mt chat sessions frozen only for asking for what I am paying for. I have been robbed from day one. My browsing is even slowere than my dial up. They always tell me it is my computer, I know better. They do too. They have blamed my router, even when I had no router. They will not get anymore of my money and of course, they will not be happy about me stopping prematurely with them, but as my records indicate, they have had numerous opportunity to resolve my issues . But I have no record of them even calling me to ensure complete customer satisfaction. It is suppose to be a two way relationship, but their position is that it is their way and no other. Well I believe thay are wrong. I wanted them to address my conserns so that i truly san stay with them. But They have only caused me disgust, irritability, loss of customers, and sickness due to the sluggishness of the browsing. I also have dial up on another computer at home. It is twice as fast as hughesnet. Hughesnet tells me they are 35 times faster than dial up. I say that is crap.
