April 27, 2006, after calling numerous hurricane shutter companies I found SSMF. They came out were very nice followed up calling and came out twice to measure before the contract was signed. Don't fall victim!! This is what happened to me: I was taken to breakfast and then told how I could make lots of money if I bought several timeshare weeks with Mayan Resorts and rented them out. I was given figures (which I never got copies of) by my salesman that would make me good money. I later found these figures to be grossly exaggerated. I was also given figures showing how my timeshare would increase in value, which I also later found was false. I placed an order with this company on January 12, 2007. I have not received the order as on today February 5, 2007. Their website states that the order was shipped, but no tracking information is available. They do not respond to emails or telephone calls. I believe they are taking orders with no intention of sending the merchandise. They charged the order against my credit card. There is another complaint logged against this company that describes how the company accepts internet orders, but then requires you to call to confirm the order with a sales person. I was given a gift card a year ago as a present. I went to use the card and was informed that the card had expired and there is no value on it. The company required $300 up front to provide qualified life & health ins. leads in a zip area. Leads provided are deducted from deposit. 22 leads were provided most in bad areas, I kept protesting and asking for credit for these bad leads. Some were granted but never credited. I read with interest the complaint posted on this site regarding a GE digital phone working to just past the store warranty date then not charging, even with a new battery.
