I received a Vanilla Mastercard as a gift and it was DECLINED every time I tried to use it. I did not want to embarass the gift giver so I put it away and tried again later. Seems like many places will not redeem it! When I logged onto the site they show they are deducting a "service fee" for NOT USING THE CARD. When I called - you guessed it - ETERNAL HOLD.
Turns out the company TAKES AWAY your card value month by month in "service fees." WTF? They get $50 for the card, they get to work with or invest that cash and then they take away a monthly fee for - what? - storage in my wallet???

We have sent a package including a passport by Purolator. They specifically said sending passports is ok, and it was declared on the envelope that it includes a passport.
PUROLATOR simply lost the package. From the tracking system it seems that it never went out of the town, yet they undertook no serious effort to find the package. The case that was opened 4 days ago simply got closed today by declaring our package as lost, i.e., they do not want to even look for it any more. The cost that was charged is $100, ten times higher than other comparable service providers. read full review »

I had two young girls come to my door selling magazines to earn points for a trip to Europe, they were very very pushy but it seemed they were honest at the time. I went ahead and made an order for one magazine and when I was going to write the check they pleaded with me to pay with cash! I foolishly wrote the check and now I know it was a scam as the magazine has not arrived. They were on my doorstep on 8/6/2008. The sales company was Kenmore and the one girl's name was Allie Rushing. The fact that they tried to insist on cash is what made me start to question the whole thing! On August 4th (over 2 months ago), we purchased 4 outdoor lights from Total Lighting and Decor in Burlington on Fairview Street.
Total cost was $600.00. We made a deposit of $370 and were told it would be 2 weeks before they came in. After the 2 weeks, the lights had not arrived and we were told they would be in next week. We got the same story now every week thereafter for the past 2 months.
The staff at the Total Lighting store never seemed to show any care or concern regarding our order.

I suspected the deal was shady when the finance manager, Carlos, refused to let me see the numbers on paper. He fiddle farted around with paperwork trying to distract me. When I did see the contract I saw the price of the vehicle had actually increased AFTER my down payment and friends/family discount had been applied. I ordered my free trial of cosmetyn for 6.95 then tried it for two weeks and decided to cancel i called several times and waited on hold for up to an hour before it just hung up so i left a message. No return so I wrote to them on their website and no return. The next day I called again and finally talked to someone who told me they couldn't cancel at that time cause something was "down." Walgrens filled out my perscription yesterday wrong as it is every month. I have stayed with them because back in March I paid them $20.00 to fill with generic drugs for 90 days. They have never done it right. Now they are arguing with my diabetic insulin and I don't have enough for the month. I will have to pay 181.00 to complete the time period. As i write this my blood sugar is 450. I haven't had my insulin for 2 days. This will probably kill me. They are the worst pharmacy ever. read full review »

I was contacted in March 2008 by Bob Kizer who said he could sell my timeshare in Branson within 3 months. I paid $500 fee. I have yet to hear back from anyone. We placed our order on Wed 10/15/08 and our product was supposed to be delivered within 48hrs (which was the selling point for us as we were in a hurry)! They were also a Women Owned Business and we wanted to be supportive and give them our business.

On December 14, 2009, I sent a computer and monitors along with two digital cameras via Greyhound Package express to my sister in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After a week had passed and the two boxes were not delivered I began calling Greyhound Package Express, but nothing has been done to find my merchandise. I have found out from a former employee that the workers routinely rip off the labels of valuable shipments and set them aside to steal later.

I found this site through a well written article (seemed too good to be true, but I bought it) anyway, As I was entering information for my "Free 100 bids" -to complete the form, they asked you for your credit card number. Now I have been doing thousands, if not a million dollars worth of purchases on the internet and I am always very careful, but this one time...someone took advantage.

I place an order from Riddex.com. I made my purchase and rejected all offerings for discount. Suddenly, I notice a charge of $ 1.95 on my account. I didn't pay much attention to it, but now I notice another charge of $14.95. I called and they said if you click yes or no you are accepting the discounts from that website. I am very upset and will not hesitate to cancel my card and request a new one.

Beware of Windstream's Bundle Packages!!! The company will contact you with an unlimited long distance plan, which includes basic phone service, that costs $49.99 a month. This bundle sounds good, right? WRONG! The company fails to include the various fees and taxes that are added to the $49.99. A $49.99 bundle ultimately costs $84.19 a month. Even a single line with no perks runs $26.00 a month.

Even I am one of Aquafina's (25 lts home delivery water supply) victim in Noida. I have to call these guys repeatedly and after repeated reminders they deliver the water and at times you will not get water on the same day.
Aquafina delivery boys were supposed to come today at 8 in the morning to deliver water, its 7.00 in the evening and no body has come. Sequence of Events:
1. Ordered the Service on Aug 15, 2009 (PREPAID The Service amount)
2. Even after OC 25, 2009 that service was not activated
3. Requested to Cancel the Service, Customer Service is reluctant to cancel the service
4. Now they are saying, they will cancel the service but they will deduct 3 months of fee.

I ordered Accuberry for $3.95 (just shipping fees). I get my statement from the bank and there is a $29-95 charge for a Fit Club. I called and cancel that and then there was a $89.95 charge from Accuberry for the pills. I called to cancel and send them back and I was told they can't give refunds they woould get fired. Now I have a charge of $8.51 every month for a Price Savers.com on my statement. Save your money and don't order from them. They will rip you off!!! read full review »

I had ordered some books and CDs from India Today Book Club on 20th Feb 2007. Till 13th April 2007, I did not receive the books and the CDs. Many emails sent to their customer care department remain unanswered. Though the company belongs to a reputed media group, their service level is very disappointing. I intend to lodge a complaint with the cyber crime cell of Mumbai Police if they do not respond to my mails and deliver the promised merchandise within a week. For around $500.00 I was to receive several days at two different Florida resorts, a cruise to the Bahamas, 4 nights in Mexico, and a trip of my choice.
