Democo contracted to demolish a house. Democo was paid an advance of $6279 prior to start of work. The balance of $14, 718 was paid to them on completion by a second personal check on 08/25/07. Democo called and indicated that they wanted immediate payment. A Bank cashiers check for $14, 818 was paid to them on 08/07. Democo was supposed to destroy the personal check. This company is very sketchy with its billing practices. They are still billing me for services I did not receive two years after I cancelled my service and moved out of the state. Their online support staff refuses to explain why I am still receiving the bills that I am and their telephone customer service cannot even find my account in the system half the time. Started off as a competition win and has snowballed into a fight with the consumer/promotions and myself before my email was cracked and investigated by the host I reported them to all legal agencies in their country. They are taking money from bank account without authorization. First though they said you would get free cd it you put your information in in 3 minutes. Then they said something was wrong with my card. I thought I canceled because I knew nothing was wrong. But they sneak in took he shipping and handling they said for the free cd, within the week they took the full price for the cd. Now though in the last few weeks strange charges came across my bank account. Fortunately I was closing that account and they won't get any more. On March 20 2008 Atlantic Container Lines was contracted to ship a CAT D7 Bulldozer. I have a big bone to pick with Washington Mutual, here is the complaint. I had a boat and boat trailer loan with WAMU since 2000 and I just paid the balance of the loan off. All went well until I received the finial paperwork, no title for the boat trailer. I called the branch that I bank with and they gave me the runaround. I called in and promptly canceled the order and got the parts right away locally. Instead if canceling it, the merchant decided to ship the product on the following day. [Lied about having no stock]. Okay, where to begin? I've read so many complaints about Frigidaire appliances that I'm shocked! Right now, I'm preparing some paper work to sue Frigidaire in small-claims court over the vents on my 4000 Series AquaSurge Dishwasher. Think twice about ordering parts from these scammers. They have nothing in stock. They advertise sales and special prices on nonexistent parts. When you place an order they "source" the parts. They will scramble for 1-2 weeks until they locate it at some legitimate business. They are extremely slow and unprofessional. They will mix up parts and orders. I bid on and won a car on ebay from Bassem Zakhary. Description of vehicle stated "No body damage, no roof damage, runs good." I scheduled a July flight back in May. Last week, I had abdominal surgery and was told I caanot fly (or do much anything else) for six weeks. Midwest wanted to reissue the ticket within one year, and with a letter from the physician, "maybe" waive the reissue fee. Sounds somewhat reasonable right? I did so and when I didn't call back to cancel, they automatically billed my credit card for monthly charges of $14.95/month. This is the 2nd time in 3 yrs i brought my computer back to conns to fix (i bought it at conns). 1st time took 6 days this time it was 11 days and they still haven't fixed, so i went 30 miles picked it up brought it to another place (dr.pc) and was fixed in one hour and half the price. Every month I was seeing this $39.95 charge on my credit card and the Credit Card company (BofA) kept telling me I had to contact the company myself. Well, I looked here on complaints.com and found there were a lot of others who had been scammed by these guys. I ordered something from over seas and I guess thats how they got involved.
