I went to the website to sign up for the 25 day "risk-free" trial. I was mislead down a path that asked for my credit card. The language clearly stated "if you are signing up for free songs, don't worry, your credit card will not be charged .. just need it for authorization purposes.. etc etc." I proceeded and downloaded 17 songs, only to find that the site did not suit my personal preferences in music. Have had Time Warner Intergrated T-1 service for our retail/wholesale food company for years without any problems; was contacted by ATT Win Back and told I could get the same level of service for $200/month cheaper by switching to ATT. Something has to be done about the qustionable business practices of Verizon's phone book company called Idearc Media. They will call you every week trying to get you to agree to a costly phone book listing and you tell them no, only to find a monthly bill for service you did not agree to and vehemently declined. I recently purchased a BRAND NEW 2008 Honda Accord Coupe. I called and complained of a recent WATER LEAK just above my gas, break and clutch pedals. Everyone must be warned of this company and their tactics. They move into new areas and SELL you hard on their advertising program. They fail to mention that they will be charging you a $3 monthly billing fee. I know it sounds small, but it is the point.
