There have been unauthorized charges for the month of Decem-ber and January in the amount of $4.95 each month. I have not authorized these charges and want them reversed. This place needs to be shut down now! Received initial shipment under the special trial offer. Was not smart enough to read the small print on cancellation. Received second shipment charged to credit card. Called and cancelled future shipments. Received in email today another shipment was on the way. A very high-pressure pitch on the phone followed my purchase online. I was convinced I needed a multitude of items that either did not did not come with the camera or items I needed to make it work, which were all lies, including a "special high-speed" memory card for which I paid $100 and later discovered I could buy for $12. The first time I did business through American PC, everything went well, and I was very pleased. Late on, I was planning on building some computers for friends, so I ordered the parts again through these guys. The order was easily filled out, and the parts arrived on time. I discovered that one of the video cards and one of the hard drives were dead. I ordered a laptop bag from this outfit. After several days of no shipment confirmation, I emailed twice, then called. Amcom is a poor example of online shopping. I ordered a motherboard and CPU from them. After 1 1/2 months of listening to excuses for not shipping my order I canceled the order. To this day they have not refunded my money; one excuse was they changed the company that handles their finances, and would mail me a check. Since then they have contunued to lie about sending the check. I have refered this matter to my bank as well as the Hayward City Attorney. I ordered one SCSI CD-R drive which was bundled with the Adaptec CD-Creator software and the wire to connect the CD-R drive to the sound card. What I received was a CD-R drive made by a different manufacturer than what I ordered that didn't even work (was completely dead - would not respond to connected power in any way), no CD-Creator software, and a wire that didn't even mate up to their own CD-R drive. Money was taken from my account without my being aware this would happen. I was told on the website that I would be charged a one time fee of $1.99 for a CD that would help me get a grant. After talking with the customer service person who seemed to have no information for me other than I have been charged $58.61 after a seven day trial and $13.42 for an SBA news letter I never recieved in my email, which I had no Idea I was to recieve. After weeks of research, I finally ordered a ProStar 5604 laptop through AmazingLaptops.com. Terrible customer service. Purchased a piece of luggage. Charged same day but received about a week later. Didn't use it for about 3 weeks because I wasn't traveling but when I did travel I realized the luggage was terrible constructed and/or defective. The wheels make the entire rolling mechanism useless. Called Altman but they told me I was outside the 30 day return policy and they refused to do anything -- repair, replace, or refund. Here's a followup to my post I made on 6 Sep. On 7 Sep, Alphanex agreed via email to credit my account $56, but did not do so. I contacted my credit card company to resolve this. They said I had to wait 30 days from the date that Alphanex said they would credit the account before they could take action. So, I waited with no credit for $56 hitting my account. This company placed a $29.99 charge on my Credit card without my knowledge. I had never heard of them previously. When I called, they explained that they don't sell a product, just fitness advice. They claimed that the charge was originated by Adipose.com - another company I had never heard of - only a web site per My Fitness.
