Purchased a pr. of diamond stud earrings which I later took to an independent appraiser for evaluation for insurance purposes. The appraiser informed me that the earrings were of such an inferior quality it would be a waste of my money to have them insured. This company was hired to strip and reseal slate floor in living room-dining room. They attempted to do so, stripping and resealing on two different days. They stripped the floor again on the third day, but left the floor in a mess. They ruined our baseboards, thresholds, and wall covering. We took them to small claims court and was awarded a judgement. We have been unable to collect a penny. Owner claims business is bad and he is ready to declare bankruptcy. I ordered an out of print book from this book seller through Barnes and Noble because they had a high rating of customer satisfaction. The book never arrived and it's been a month since ordering. Taryn's Books never responded to my repeated emails, and they have no phone, so I have no recourse except through B&N. Barnes and Noble is of course looking into it, but I have demanded my money back, but have yet to get it. Figis sent the 6 free items to Redlands CA address and the two items (main order) back to me. I was alerted when I received a bill for the postage of the two items back to me in GA. This is a website that gives diet and health advice from Oprah Winfrey's nutrition guru, Bob Greene. It costs $19.95 a month but allows a free ten day trial with refund. I purchased, saw the product and was not impressed. I followed the instructions to get a refund which involved calling an 800 number. I have called a dozen times. And each time a recording tells me that all agents are busy and that rather "than keep you awaiting, " they are hanging up. This is after a wait of less than a minute. I received a letter informing me that I now owed rental payments to Flatirons Financial instead of my landlord. I went and talked to them. I paid one month's rent and a pet deposit that equaled $675. At the end of the month I received a record of the payment to them. I also received a notice of rental payment due for the next month. On the first I mailed the new rental payment. We purchased a rectangle Hampton Bay umbrella last summer from our local Home Depot. When we got it out of the packaging for the first time after bringing it home, we were not satisfied with the material used. It is a flimsy polyester-type fabric. Almost right away one of the corners ripped causing the "rib" to come out and just hang there! Eventually by the end of summer more of it ripped and a "rib" broke and now it us useless!! When the flowers I ordered arrived at my mother's for Mother's Day, there was no card, so she didn't know who they were from. When I called to tell ProFlowers, they offered a $10 refund. I would like to comment and say that Cape Town International Airport should stick with one boarding gate. I flew up to Namibia after which I had one gate noted on my boarding pass, one on the notice board and one staff member thought it was a different gate. Then another had to walk down to check in deks to follow up on the correct gate number. All Pro Authentics shipped me damaged and poorly crafted merchandise and refuse to give me a refund and have not reached out to me to help resolve my dissatisfaction. They only communicate via email and will not provide a telephone number. As a result, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and during the process they have fraudulently altered email communications in their rebuttal to the credit card company. Imagine going to the post office to buy two cent stamps on the day after the increase is effective. There are twenty five people in line and only ONE person on duty. The other six service bays are unmanned. You wait in line for about twenty minutes and are then told that they are sold out of two cent stamps. I am surprised that no one has the intelligence to put up a sign. My guess is that half the people in line throughout the day will be asking for two cent stamps. I have received a Water&Lights account of an abstronomical amount. I have spend time at the departments offices to understand what exactly I am billed for.
