I purchased an e-machine from Wal-Mart, which is a rebadged Acer. The box, and computer appeared in perfect shape, so I wrapped it and put in under the tree for my wife. Several years ago, we purchased a set of 4 Bilstein shocks (with lifetime warantee) from McKenzie's Performance Products, a shop specializing in offroad parts and equipment. The salesman said should they ever fail, return them for replacement. The 2 front shocks failed. We went to McKenzie's, and the manager refused to honor the warantee. He said they do not do warantees. So we contacted Bilstein directly. They immediately sent out 2 new shocks.
