I bought my daughter a set of 2 woven sythetic leather belts made by Faded Glory, at Wal- Mart today. When I got them home I noticed the labels ( 3 of them) . When I wanted to get out of my membership, I was told specifically that I could pay on a monthly cycle and cancel at any time. I asked specifically if I could do this, at which time I was given something to sign and rushed through the process in order to get the "pay as you go" rate. When I called to try to cancel my membership, I was told that I had signed a one year contract and I would continue to be billed on the monthly cycle. I received my AT&T phone bill and noticed an $8.23 charge on my bill. This is the second time it has appeared and the fee was removed both times. For future references, AT&T offers a "third party" block for internet services. What this service does is insure that the internet customer AND an AT&T representative are on the phone at the same time to verify the subscription FREE OF CHARGE. I am waiting on a 1099 form that shows how much interest I have paid in the past year on my defaulted student loan. I have called twice, once at 8:30a.m. and again today at 1:00p.m and got a recording that states the office hours and then says that the office is closed. This company is a scam. They have no customer service. They claim to make you wait over 30 minutes or more for any calls to check on orders. But, never answer their phones. One of the dumbest rules I have ever run into happened this week with Hilton Hotels.. One of my staff made a reservation on line, paid in advance.
