The people at Provident Funding do not know what they are doing! My mother paid off her loan in July 2009. A reconveyance letter was supposed to be sent to the SLC County Recorder's Office to have them update their information showing that the loan has been paid in full, their are no liens on the house and she holds the title free and clear. I advise anyone to stay away from HSBC Credit Cards. I got injured on the job and tried to use the Account Secure Plus program they denied my claim they said that it wasn't thirty days from the time I got hurt until the the time I was released from Worker's Compensation. The dates were from February 9, 2010 until March 10, 2010. FYI if you close your account and still have a balance with them they are still going to charge you interest.
