We are a military family that lived in Harbor Oaks for their usual 11 month contract. We did not have very many complaints while living there except that the apartments still have asbestos. The first set of windows they installed were wrong, they cut chunks of framing out to make them fit. Then they capped over the drain holes in the sill. Aftewr 2 or more years they finall came out and replaced the windows. When there was a problem they kept delaying anfd even tried to sell me outside siding saying that was why they leaked. I purchased a product made by Dolgencorp Inc. The product was a Large Angle Broom. As my partner was sweeping the patio, the broom broke into, hit her left knee, and caused for 8 staples to be placed in order to close her knee. The incident happened today 05/17/2010. I used Gem's printing in Metairie, LA for most of my wedding planning. They have everything and I was so impressed when I walked in and their customer service was great until after the sale. My RSVP's were wrong when the order was complete. The date for the RSVP was 2 weeks after the actual wedding date. And then there is the story of the cake knife...the name and date were ingraved crooked. I do not recommend this shop. They can be friendly but are technically incapable of performing capable work. They are also very expensive. At 1:14 am I stopped at the drive thru for quarter pounders and double quarter pounders. Meal was given to me on a timely basis no problem there. It was raining out but I only live about 10 minutes away. A bite into the hamburger had me gagging. It was seared on the outside but totally raw in the middle. I did not feel like driving back there again. This is second time this has happened on the same burgers at the same place.
