We purchased a Brinks security light on Dec 4th, 2010. We did not keep the box which I do regret now. The light went out on March 20, 2011. It had the new bulb in it that is suppose to last for years and so energy efficient. Now I can't find out how to contact the company for warranty on the light. It has a one year and only lasted 3 months. We have purchased Brinks lighting for the last 4 yrs. Every time they last less time. This last one took the cake though. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They do not come in the morning, heck they don't come at all. Then they charge you for multiple visits when it was one visit 5 days after a snowfall. I've also had a problem receiving a refund for a product that I was first told was in stock and then told was on backorder. The order was placed last summer and I finally canceled it in November 2010. I was told to wait 2-3 billing cycles on my credit card for the refund to show up. It's now been 4 billing cycles and I have still not received a refund. I can't find a phone number for this place. I've been using their online 'help'. This company works through so many various companies.. Living Social had a deal for $49 for two people/ 2 night hotel & flight to go to Vegas. After reading more details there is also a $60 booking fee and a $75- $150 MAX fee for airline taxes per person. So we figure okay great at MOST we would spend $204.50 a person. On 04/13/11 I was forced to do a stop pay on a half payment to 21st Mortgage Co. that was due on 04/15/11 so that I would not incur several other overdraft fees. I called 21st Mortgate at about 8:30 on the morning of 04/15/11 and told them that I had to do the stop payment on their check and let them know that I would pay a payment on 04/22/11 and on 04/29/11 to have the payment in before the end of the month. We paid them $700 for a limo rental only to get charged an additional $200 on our credit card a week later for a stereo knob that they say we broke but was already off when they picked us up. Who charges $200 for a plastic knob after already getting $700 out of us? I first put $20 on a calling card with CelticTel.com in Dec 2008. I only call one older relative (she has no email/Skype account) in Ireland at Christmas and her birthday, so a few months will go by before I call again. Illumibrite has been offering a free trial of their teeth whitening system. I fell for it and ordered it on-line. Illumibrite charged me $94.97 for a club membership after sending me a free trial of their product. I used a credit card to pay for the shipping and handling. Upon calling them and discussing the extra charge, they refused to drop the "club" charge but agreed to cancle my "membership". I contacted my credit card company.
