I've read nightmare stories about canceling LA Fitness memberships. At first I could not understand why people were having such a hard time canceling their memberships. My vehicle was involved in an auto accident on 8/25/2006. I had my truck taken to maroone ford in delray for repair. To date, my truck has been the shop 5 times to correct body work issues. We were solicited by phone by a Vacation Register, Inc. employee to list our vacation week with them to sell. (This was a Gold Crown resort located in Utah where the 2002 Winter Olympics had been held). After upgrading our membership for the 3rd time to a 2 bedroom suite/Master suite with a perpetual deed at the Royal Sunset, I was talked into paying the the $549 so they could rent out 3 out of our 4 weeks. On 10/18/06 my internet speed suddenly dropped by 75% (like someone flipped a switch). The speed hasn't come returned as of 12/2/06. I'm on the 8mbps/768kbps tier. After numerous calls to Comcast, and numerous visits by level 1 techs and line techs, all they say is that I have a good signal and everything looks fine. August 7, 2006 at Home Depot in Durango Colorado I ordered carpet for two rooms. I was asked to pay $100.00 and that I would be contacted later about the carpet installation. In mid July an auto mechanic was driving my car off of a long bed (used to transport a race car). While backing it off the bed, he somehow(according to him, I was not there) got his foot lodged between the brake pedal and the throttle. What a piece of absolute CRAP this phone is. Shame on me for replacing it twice with more of the same. 3 of these have cracked at the upper left hinge under normal use. I took a day off of work to get a delivery of a refrigerator on the evening of Thursday November 30th. I was sent a deficient product. I noticed on Saturday that my food had all spoiled and dripped that previous evening all over my carpet and kitchen floor. I lost about 2 hundred dollars worth of groceries. I bought ViewSonic LCD monitor at Fry's on 10/14/2006 and mailed the rebate form with all other required document to ViewSonic Rebate in White Bear Lake, MN on 10/16/2006. Checked their web site for rebate status and it always says rebate not found. Called them a few times and they always said it was not the system. I spend at least 2 -3 hours once a week "talking" with my mother thru the IM's. And for several weeks now every 5 minutes a pop-up comes, FROM AOL, about spy ware. When this happens the cursor stops in the message filed. If i don't notice it, only a partial message gets sent. This gets VERY tiresome, i have the use of only 1 hand due to ALS and over the course of 3 hours how the hell many times do i have to say NO? I had fallen behind on a couple payments for my home depot credit card. Once i was back on my feet i called home depot to make payment arrangements with them they accepted my payments and agreed on other future payment arrangements. I bought an aspire 9500 from circuit city for $840 with tax in march of this year. I has worked fine for what I paid for it. Until recently that is. I am now getting a line down the middle of the screen. When I called acer they said to send it in and it take 10 days for the repair. No loaners no nothing. I recently rented a truck for a one way 160 mile move. You're given a copy of the contract and on it is this little diagram of the gas gouge. You're then told to be sure it matches what's in the truck and explained their refueling fees if you return it less than they gave it to you. BEWARE - THE DIAGRAM IS BACKWARDS. I am writing this letter to let you know about a disappointing occurrence my husband and I had at the St Regis in Laguna Beach. I took out an AFLAC Intensve Care policy in March 06. The effective date of coverage was April 1, 2006.
