On August 16, 2007, my checking accounts with Washington Mutual were levied by a well-known riff-off law firm Wolpoff & Abramson, LLP ('Wolpoff' that purchased debt for pennies and through its collection agency, Palisades Collection they filed a judgment, put a dent on my credit without my knowledge and put a levy amount of $2,437.34 plus $.64 interest per day from 8/14/07 to my accounts. I'm writing this in the afternoon on Aug 21, 2007. THE SITUATION... I called Comcast on Aug 13, 2007 (8 days ago) and reported that my Cable TV service was unusable. We joined DirectBuy almost 2 years ago planning to purchase items for a major home improvement project which included cabinets. We had priced Omega cabinets at a couple of locations prior to going into DirectBuy and they did a preliminary quote which indicated that we would save about $20,000. I have been working with 5-7 different Symantec "customer service" people to help get NAV uninstalled and reinstalled. In the past I could do this myself - but not anymore. My Lenovo with Vista installed has had problems from day one. Rather then help me resolve them, I am told that "Lenovo is not responsible for Microsoft software" and that I must pay $125.00 to call and get help for each fix. I paid care credit on time every month, so I was pretty surprised when I found out that late payment charges of 29 dollars was being applied to my bill each month. I called Care Credit and they explained to me that any payments made the during the first 5 days of a month are counted as payment for the last month. Because I made each payment at the first of the month, I was penalized! I do not feel I was adequately informed of this rule. By implementing this policy, Care Credit managed to gain 87 extra dollars from me. My family have had the phones for about 3 months - already my sisters had to be return because she could not receive any phone calls - and had to pay shipping charge for it to be returned and for them to replace it. Now my phone keeps cutting off - power. My girlfriend and I ordered food from the Flagship Diner on Queens Boulevard in Briarwood, Queens on Sunday afternoon. My house keeper recently made a reservation over the phone for a flight to Guatemala through Sprit Airline. She arrived on the 31st of July three hours prior to her flight to be told that the flight had departed the day before even though her travel itinerary clearly stated departure for July 31st. On Saturday, August 18, 2007, I was trying to log on to limewire(US) and got limewireUK. I was charged $88.78 to my credit card. I received my password to limewire, but am unable to use it. I'm trying to get my money refunded back to my account. The e-mail address I was given gets me nowhere and there is no phone number. I live in the United States. On and around January of 2006, I received a letter from NCO Financial reporting a collection that they were collecting for. On February 16, 2006 I paid the debt in full. The check I wrote was cashed on February 21, 2006. To this day NCO Financial has note reported this debt paid in full. When I call about it they have the debt under someone else's name and my husband's social security number. This is how people get caught up in identity theft. I have purchased a Cub Cadet Enforcer. It has 7 hours on it and has broken twice. The brake breaks and won't allow you to use it. It was purchased out of town as a gift and the local dealers will not honor the warranty since they are not the ones that sold it. I was informed that there would only be a withdrawal if I didn't cancel the membership for the benefit package within 5 business days. I was told I would only receive a withdrawal of $1 processing fee for the Mastercard that I was informed was from Bank of America.
