I received check # 6099 for $2,902.00 claiming that I had won a prize. It is not stamped that this is not a check, but it is drawn on First Community Bank. Momentum Direct has an address of 1010 South Magnolia Blvd; Magnolia, TX 77355. There is no indication where the bank is located. I googled "first community bank" found no legitimate bank. This mail came from Canada into the U.S. What concerns me the most is how these scam artists came buy my name and address. read full review »

My account was transferred from providian to sst I was notified by providian about four months before i heard anything from sst yet sst applied several hundred dollars in late fees and penalties and refused to remove them. I am constantly receiving billing statements after the due dates and charged $ 39.00 late fees i tried to combat these charges by paying a month in advance which the person on the phone agreed to and posted it on the computer, after the due date sst continued to call my place of employment suggesting that i was late and she could only waive the charges if i repay a payment that i have already paid. read full review »

I saw the advertisement for a credit card to rebuild my credit in Ocotber 2007. After completing the application, I was not told of any account processing fee of $99.00; Program Participation Fee of $89.00; Annual Fee of $49.00; and Account maintenance fee of $10.00 before getting the card. I just received a bill in the mail from Continental Finance Company, LLC, which states that I owe $247.00 before I even got the card. I still have not received the card but yet I owe this. Definitive custom homes of San Antonio, Texas built a home that has numerous major water leaks due to both plumbing and exterior construction issues. It took almost 2 years for the builder to correct other major problems like severely scratched windows and buckled wood floors. And the Major leaking issue has been ongoing which the builder has still not taken care of. This builder had been unwillingly to fix the major problems correctly. I ordered a futon, futon mattress, and mattress cover from Gately's in August. I recieved the futon frame in September, however no mattress or cover. Gately's cancelled my order and said they would refund my credit card in October, and as of today, 11/9/07 they still have not done so. Gately's owes me over $200 and they will not respond to my emails, the website no longer works, and the phone number sends you to an answering system that is useless. These people are awful. I am also renting some merchandise from Rent-A-Center and I ran into some medical difficulties and was not able to pay for my merchandise a couple of times, but the kicker is that I ALWAYS kept in contact with the staff there to keep them informed of my situation and they were understanding... AT FIRST!! If any of you veterans out there are planning on visiting Seaside, Oregon for Veterans Day, the Motel 6 there is a pretty nice place to stay, it's economical and you can bring your pet. But my wife and I were barred from ever staying there without any reason given. It may have been the manager is an anti-war guy and didn't like my Viet Nam Veteran license plate holder. My car is supposed to be paid off in 2 notes. Speaking with a rep I asked them to confirm my payoff date. Now they tell me I owe an additional $2000.00 due to accrued interest! I have always paid my note. I've been late several times but always been careful to pay my late fees. The guys says it's not late fees its a simple interest loan so it is accrued interest. I ordered Good Housekeeping and Automobile on June 11, 2007 . The delivery startup "wait" time was to be 8 to 12 weeks. These were charged to my credit card by never received. I placed the order through Google Half Price Magazines. I went to the post office on Dec 31 07 with the tracking number and the lady clerk told me that it has not left the post office as of yet. I had a flight on the Nov 3th 07 from Dubai to New york jfk in Emirate airline. i had the worst customer service. a supervisor name Ghulam who worked that night at the luggage and checking passports was very unpleasant, very mean and unhelpful. He treated me like nothing. I was disappointed from Emirate airline. He charged 159$ extra for my wife's luggage which i had to check them in, because Dubai airport had new law for the luggage transfer. I had a lock placed in the front door of my apartment by this company and I was charged 360. Four days later I was locked out of my apartment because the new lock was malfunctioning. Being locked out I had no phone, no wallet, or any access to any internet connection. I was lucky enough to find a number for a locksmith who could open up the door for me (who again charged me 350). In order to get results on the "free" search I had to subscribe for a trial membership ($9.95), or a regular membership for one year ($44.95).
