XP Antivirus offered an antivirus package for $49.95 and within minutes charged my Visa card $104.00. I had not finished down-loading it and still haven't. They offered full refund of money, if not satified. So far all I get is either their phone is busy or their e-mail box is full. This a complete fraud. They told me I had 76 viruses and made it seem as if they were representing Windows XP. I had to block my card as the credit card company told me this company keeps charging your card otherwise. I purchased a HP DVD 1040i drive on 10/18/2007. And it has already failed as of last week 5/21/2008. It has a 1 year warranty, now that is a joke. Try calling the numbers they give you, they are in INDIA. Then you are rerouted from here to there asked the same thing over and over( name, phone number, email address, model #, SN #). I believe they are trying to discourage you from perssuing the matter. At this point I would never purchase a HP product again. There support is useless. WESTINGHOUSE: Yes, my issue with Westinghouse was resolved. I had been calling Customer Service for 4+ months. I called 'headquarters' and it was resolved and I got my new, working TV in 4 days. Fabulous. THE CATCH: you must call 'Headquarters'. It is not a 800 or 888 #, it is a 516 number. I had bought a Super 240 pellet stove. Had nothing but problems with it. First of all, no one answers the phone when you call customer support. You have to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back. When you do get someone they are very rude and short with thier answers. Anyway, after a number of calls I finally had it, not one suggestion they gave me worked. The stove still has multiple problems. My husband went into the pharmacy today to pick up a prescription that was to ready about 3:p.m. When he got there they told him they got back from lunch late and it was not ready. I wouldn't recommend this company. Based on my experiences, they are a waste of time. It is stated on average, their customers receive orders in 5 - 7 business days. I placed an order for advertised products on May 8, 2008. Nothing stated the items were not in stock. They sent me "junk" emails.
