If you are considering buying a timeshare do NOT buy from Festiva Resorts. My husband and I own a timeshare that we bought from Equivest in 2000. In 2007, Festiva purchased Equivest and has since been trying to convert all the Equivest owners over to Festiva. The first issue is that the fax service faileed to send 3 individual faxes of a resume. I was told by Michael that the system administrator was working on the issue. I sent a 4th fax and received a confirmation of delivery. I did not for the first 3. That was when I contacted their live chat dept. I was presented with a bill for $80, 000 for services that I felt were not performed. The contractor, Peter C. Seidel, requested that I sign a promissory note to him and that he would send details of the expenses which we would then negotiate. He failed to send me any detail of the work he supposedly performed and took me to court, suing me for $80, 000 plus $10, 000 in attorney fees and costs. Took almost a year to get the correct champagne earring, and I wasn't given any credit for all the aggravation. Recently I didn't receive set ordered but they followed up with the next item which I didn't want or like. Then it took 3 weeks and 2 phone calls to get the return label. NEW WORLD Movers - SCAM!!! Do not use this company. I got a quote for $595. Extremely proximate move of apartments (not too much stuff). I even told them I had stairs and there was a walkway (which $300 was later tacked on for). Hughes not only is expensive with poor service, they are dishonest. I recently upgraded by service to a new router after being told it would make my lousy response time better. A couple of hundred dollars later I have a new satellite dish, new modem. They left the old satellite dish at the top of my driveway. Unbeknownst to me, they created a second account and kept charging be the first. Double billing. They made it sound like my fault and did not refund my money. I am writing a letter to the FCC. We moved in two weeks ago we had a huge list of things wrong with out apartment. First of all let me tell you that I called in advance before moving in to make sure the apartment was ready and they told me yes. I have used OnlineSBI money tansfer to India. Their service is very bad . They deduct money immediately and never credit to the account of beneficiary ( SBI a/c). This company simply DOES NOT CARE about you, the consumer. All they want is to take your money. Once they've got it, if you have any problems, oh boy, are you in for some fun.
