I was given fraudulent information regarding a sweepstakes to be drawn on 10/2/08. I only subscribed to this offer beacause of that information. Since then I have been called by a Readers Source and tricked ( by them giving me a lot of my information, asking for verification on certain things). DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They are scam artists, and charge you $39.00 whether you order it or not when they say the charge is only $4.95. I have called them three times and they say it is refunded, and it is not...then called my cc company and they said they will go to bat for me because I asked to be emailed a confirmation that the credit had been done, and it hasn't been to date. On July 31st I entered into an agreement with NY Habitat for rental of an apartment at 340 W. 48th St. #3, NYC 10036 from October 11th through October 20th. I was notified TODAY (October 7th) that the apartment is "no longer available", that they would substitute an apartment on 116th St. in East Harlem, that they were "very booked" and this was the only other apartment available. We were told twice on the phone that we could go month to month and terminate services without a penalty. After a few months we terminated services and was told to pay a $295 fee or it would be sent to collection in four business days. I paid the fee. I asked them to review the tape of the conversation on the phone - they agreed to send me a transcript. They never listened and never sent me a transcript. Sloppy window installation. Glue particles left all over yard and on windows. Request to management to clean. Management said they were not window washers. Sliding glass door promised in 4 weeks took 8-10 weeks or more due to incorrect measurements then installed incorrect door. Nightmare! Paid over $8000 cash same day of installation, now company threatening to take me to court/collections for $868.00 owed for sliding glass door fiasco. I bought 3 DVD's on 9/27/08, all from the same cheap $1.99 and up display bin. Two of the movies were fine, but one, "Diamond Men", with the wording, "Two Big Thumbs Up" Ebert & Roper, did not. Currently watching how they seem to be attempting to harass and cheat an elderly neighbor. A 73 year old widow whose house took a battering in Hurricane Ike. Currently they are attempting to force her to sign a waiver which claims that NONE of the damage to her property was caused by Ike. They sell these Chinese Made ATV's and offer no service centers to take care of the warranty. They expect you the owner of the ATV to figure out what is wrong. if you have a problem with the ATV and send in the part and they will replace it. That is a joke. You will wear yourseft down trying to get something done. They have no repair centers to take care of the warranty problems. We had Miracle Method applied to our shower in January 2007. We were to have a 5 year warrenty on the material applied. In a year and a half we started to get peeling of the coating. My husband and I opened a loan in 2005 with Option One Mortage Corporation. My husband passed away in August of 2007 and ever since then it has been a nightmare! Option One would call over 10- 20 times a day harrassing claiming that I had missed payments. I sent numerous times copies of all the payments I had ever made via fax and USPS. We have been trying to work with HSBC since April of this year to renegotiate our loan through the loss mitigation department and then through the organzation HOPE. They are the coldest company we have ever come in contact with. We are both on disability. We refinanced our home with CALUSA Investment who in turn sold the mortgage to HSBC. I purchased a trial for 5.95. It states that they will charge 88.00 after 15 days. I bought it on September 26th and on Oct 6th they withdrew 88.00. They also sent me-without my asking a bottle of "Total Cleanse" and said if I did not send it back they will charge 78.00 to my account. I went through an Ebay transaction where Molitor Motorsports failed to fullfil their contractual obligations. They stated to me the item was on its way but instead of sending the item, the refunded my money. At which time I left a negative feedback "did not receive item" on Ebay's feedback forum. At which time, Alex Molitor from Molitor Motorsports started to send harassing emails. He used derogatory language and threats of legal action which have no bias and emailing me directly outside of Ebay. I purchased a travel package on review for $249. This had a 30 day cancellation policy. I returned the package (delivery confirmed and received) 14 days after receiving it. I have not received a refund. I've contacted them directly. They indicated the refund was in process and that I should received it in 30-45 days. That was 6 months ago. As so many others have written, Mediacom submitted a claim to CPA that I did not return a cable box and so owed money (more than $400.) Mediacom did this even though I returned the box to their local office and they recorded it in their system. So it's either a terrible record system or an attempt to harass me for having switched to DirecTV. This was in 2006. There is a consistent pattern of the price that is scanned at the register being higher than the posted price on the shelf. Another problem at this store is the attitude of most of the checkers. They are very rude and even insolent at times. Waiting on the customer seems to be a bother to most of them. I received a notice from this law firm demanding 1500.00 for an old account I had had with Sears. I spoke with a nice lady on the phone who informed me that their office has had this account since July 2008.
