Global Readers or whatever they are calling themselves today. Almost three years ago I started handling all the bills for my fiance. Global readers was one of his bills. Since he worked nights and they would call early in the morning when he was half asleep, he had no idea what it was. I contacted them to find out who they were and what their service was. After they told me they were a readers service, I asked to cancel the account. They told me I needed to pay it off to cancel and I would no longer receive the magazines. I object to the practice of many vendors to charge a customer's credit card at the time of a purchase, even though delivery may be delayed by month or more. I placed an order with BuyItNow.com on 02/17/00 for goods totaling $600. On 03/10/00, I discovered that the order may not be shipped until 03/17/00 and that another 5 to 7 days would be required for shipping. Yet, my credit card was billed for the order on 02/17/00.

No one answers the phone (over 50 attempts)so that I can "discontinue" this product. I have mailed back and paid 1 delivery charge to my credit card. The Credit Card Co. are in a dispute with these people and say the company has 60 days to respond. Already they (the company that is scamming me)have issued and recieved a 2nd payment (which is being disputed). I am currently on a train heading out of grand central to Poughkeepsie and I just had a shocking and disturbing comment made to me from an MTA employee, a Metro North Train Conductor.

In October 2005, we purchased a piano from East Coast Piano in Nanuet, NY. We entered into an agreement with Cashback America Inc., United States Administrative Services which stated that we were to receive rebate of $3000 on our purchase of Piano. The terms were that we were to wait 35 months and send a list of items to the Cash BAck America address and we would receive a rebate.

UACC is charging excessive interest rates to people. I bought my car from what turned out to be a shady car dealership. Little behold they were working with shady laon companies too... They sent me the paper on my loan about two weeks after the purchase and the interest rate was a whopping 21%. Naturally I'm upside down on the car's value and after all payments I would have been paid over 35K for a 15K vehicle. read full review »

I have a famly plan with 4 phones and always chose Nokia for their durability for the past 7 years(at least 25 nokia phone over those years). I ran into an issue w/ a brand new phone, and sent it into Nokia to have looked at. They sent it back to me stating it was scrap. Took it to a local repar guy, and it was a simple fix. No problem. When I went to download the software I was directed to Advanced Telecom "membership" and paid $38.91 for 3 years thru Paypal. ??? I finally was able to go back and download Google for free but my transaction to Advanced Telecom was already made. Florida Fireplace is unethical and does not stand behind their word. Florida Fireplace recommended a Peterson gas ring with electronic controls to convert my brick wood burning fire pit to natural gas. They stated in their written quote that "the Peterson set up is designed (and tested) for your application". After 5 months I still do not have anything that I paid for from this company. I paid them to photograph my wedding, and have gotten nothing from them. They took them off the internet as soon as they said they would even though they have not sent me anything- though promised within 12 weeks. First of all, they never answer their phone, so it is almost impossible to talk to someone in person. All you can do is send them an email, and they choose whether to call or email you back. There was a confusion about delivery, and they said they would contact the shipper, and then obviously never did, as the item did not get delivered. They had to ship it out again a week later.

Used cooking oil purchased for production of biodiesel was heavily contaminated with degreaser. This contamination created large amounts of gasses and caused swelling of flexitank and extensive damage of shipping container. Also when made into biodiesel, producer reported extensive damage was caused to vehicles engine injectors due to degreaser contamination. I booked an excursion from Shoretrips.com for a cruise I recently took on Voyager of the Seas, (Royal Carribean) leaving Barcelona last month.
It was $225 to take a train to Rome from the Cittavechhia port, for one day to be escorted by a tour guide to see the Colisuem, etc. etc. The trip also included a modestly valued lunch. The time he did call back he lied and said he would make everything right, he would call my technician, he never did and when they called him he was rude, said we were trying to scam him and take advantage of him, and other times they just plain hung up on us. I am a tenant of Simco management properties located in the Grove City. I have to say this apartment very much lacks proffessionalism. I have two small babies aged between 3 and 4. They both experiencing severe health problems.

We had a furnace installed 10/07 by an aquaintance, Tim Powell, who has his own company. It was an emergency and money was short. Tim installed a used furnace and redid our duct work. It took him 2 days to complete the job. The furnace was fine last year but when the AC was turned on the furnace leaked. Purchased a fairly expensive desk lamp. Looked at these lamps on several web sites. None of them mentioned that the lamps will not work with a standard CFL bulb. The socket on the lamp requires a special bulb with a small pointed tip at the base of the bulb in order to receive power. Standard bulbs will screw into the socket but they won't receive power. The only bulbs that work (though they are nothing special except for the little tip) are $25 EACH. This is unjustifiably many times more expensive than commonly available bulbs. read full review »
