In November 2007, we had a door-to-door salesman come to our house selling Auto Care Super Saver cards. The card was $80 (due right then) and had services including 5 free oil changes and multiple discounts for other auto services to a local auto shop. Drive Time preys on people that are severely credit challenged because they have no other alternative for transportation. I have heard supervisors stating that Drive Time predicts that a very large percent of their loans will go to collections, and possible repossession. In my financing experience in the auto business at another dealer, we could never get a loan funded based on the qualifications that I saw in the Drive time customer accounts. There are many hidden fees. The room rate is higher than what you can get from the hotel. They charge extra fees but they don't show all the charges. They make it impossible to change date or cancel. They charge $50 PER PERSON if you want to cancel it within 14 days. This is unbelievable. The customer service does not help at all. I feel they intentionally set up many tricks. I ordered an HP 8250 scanner and software. I told them I had an OS of Vista and they assured me it would work. I paid $240.00 on 10/16/2008. When I installed the scanner it did not work. I called them & e-mailed them they finally told me to return the unit and they would repay my cost. I shipped the unit back to them and they only paid me $160.65 back. The company, first known as Two Penny Rentals, has collected rents for 3 months from my tenants without sending me those rents. They have charged me for repairs that have never been made. They have changed the locks to at least one property without providing me with keys and they have threatened a number of tenants with immediate eviction is payment is given to them in cash. This company is quite crass and unprofessional. I've been doing poor business with them since 2004 and have regretted it since... Now I keep track of all my bills each and every month: they are 1st written out, next to the amount due, then followed by the "DUE DATE". I opened a credit card with First Savings last month. When my first statement came home, I had only made charges for half the limit but it had a previous balance of $150, which turned out to be an acceptance fee, participation fee and annual fee. This ended up causing my account to be overlimit and then charged another fee for that. I placed 2 orders the same business day back in May of this year, called the company which they say they have no record of and actually told me my merchandise would be then fed-ex to me so to make sure I received it. I notified my bank about non-service on a VISA charge. Note: there was no phone number for the USEARCH on the charge. The bank has turned this over to their fraud department.
