On September 12th I ordered 10 items. I received 3 of them on October 11th with an invoice that stated only 3 of 10 items could be delivered because the rest are on back order. I called the company and was on hold for 1 &1/2 hours (90 minutes waiting for there customer service rep but I had to go after that time so I was unable to talk with them. Calls you from random and uses tricky sales pitches to fool you into agreeing to a magazine subscription, that you cannot cancel. It also seems that they will continue to send you more magazines, even after the subscription period has ended. Rates could go up, duplicate accounts could be created. Searching for a home protection plan can be useful, however if you don't think to look for complaints, you might get ripped off, bit time! I called the credit card company this morning wanting to make sure that the payment I had arranged to come out today was indeed processed. I was told it was and when I inquired about my available balance, I was told that the card had been suspended. I aksed why and was told that I was over the limit. Made an international call and they charged me $550 at a rate of $6.50 per minute saying that you should have signed up for the 50 cents rate plan which is $4.95 per month! Their lousy customer service (after long waitings etc.) wouldn't give discount and said you have to write to the consumer section in the corporate office. I purchased a Kenmore Electric Range model 790 in 3-2006 and in Nov. 2008 my oven burn element coil shorted out and fell to bottom of oven. The coil melted through. Sears did not want to hear about this as we did not buy an extended warranty just the one year service. The coil also damaged the memory board that controls the oven. I applied for a Macy's credit card in-store and did not receive my first month's statement. On my second month's statement, I had a late fee and a charge for "credit protection" service in which I never enrolled.
