I received an offer for a $500.00 Gas Rebate Program. I had to pay $5.00 to register and then submit $100.00 in receipts along with a voucher to receive my monthly rebate of $25.00. I was online looking at grants.gov. I spent an entire evening looking and filling out different questionaires and forms. I do not remember much about the promotion. It must have been entirely convincing in order for me to give my bank information over the internent, as I have been scammed before. Hey, like you guys, this weird URL showed up on my bank statement. All you have to do is call them. Put in the URL and it will probably take you to a different site, a "third party" company that handles the payments. Call the customer service or cancellation number on the site. Confirm the last 8 digits of your credit card number. They may ask for your name and full address. After canceling, tell them you want your money back. On 12/5/08 an amount of $49.47 was posted to my bank account for a CHECK CARD PURCHASE XXXXX PAYGATTERBILLCOM XXXXX3151 KN. I did not authorize any company for this amount and did not purchase anything for this amount and I have never heard of this company. I believe that I have been contacted by a scavenger debt collector and coerced into giving them my debit card number using illegal debt collection practices. I purchased a pair of Ugg boots for my daughter for Xmas on Nov 13, 08. I'm still waiting for the boots to arrive. I checked my credit card statement and I WAS charged for the boots. The web site seems to no longer exist and there is no phone number listed on the info I did save from the web site. I paid for a 2 year subscription in July 2007 via PayPal. After receiving no issues by October 2007, I attempted to contact the company via phone fax, email, and postal mail and received no response. I then contacted the NY state attorney general's office to make a formal complaint. The attorney general's office investigated and eventually notified me that they also were unable to make contact with the company. Recently, I ordered a Optoma TX782W Projector from TopChoiceDigital.com. Their advertised price was $1, 800.00 (about $500.00 less expensive than the competition). They advertise the lowest price on the market to get the order, then they call you on the phone to switch the product. After ordering online, they called me up to "confirm my address" and to ask me if I want the projector with a 50 hour bulb or a 4, 000 hour bulb. I went to a Fedex Kino's location to scan 2 documents. Had the worst experience of my life and came back seething. Here is the list of things that went wrong: 1. First of all, no signs anywhere stating where the scanner was. I had to hunt around the whole store till I found one. 2.
