I purchased a Toshiba 52" front projection TV from HH Gregg along with an extended warranty since the lamps burn out so quickly. The TV broke the first week of Dec 2008 and someone was onsite 12/10 to diagnose the problem and order the appropriate part. The University of Phoenix crossed an ethical line.After endless computer trouble I knew I needed to drop before the 2 week deadline, they wouldn't let me drop. They went as far as to post threads in Arizona to meet the class requirements. Just enough to allow full billing. Then it was"sorry we can't help", How convenient. Company charged 3.95 and 5.95 for Acai berry and colonix. Never shipped product till the 15 day trail was up. I called to cancel recieved cancellation number before 15 day trial ended. FMW still charged the 87.13 to my account. When calling to question about charge they stated they never charged and that it was not there company. The toll free number attached to 87.13 charge is the same toll free connection as the 3.95 and 5.95 charge. But they due have different numbers and different names for charges. I went to Wisconsin Title Loan on 35th and Capital and they were nice and professional the first time I went but after that they were very rude and unprofessional. When I wanted to complain they wouldn't give me the corporate number I had to call another location to get the number. I have never been treated so badly in my life. When I turned down $250 deal for contacting businesses to sign up for credit card service, I was persuaded that an investment of $9000 would net me enough to pay it back plus by the company advertising and getting customers for which I would get a percentage. I signed up for the trial offer of the Pure Acai Berry Supplement as shown on the internet for $4.95 (shipping/handling). They did charge my acccount only $4.95. However, when I received the trial bottle, there was a plastic seal on the outside of the bottle around the cap, however, the inner seal was completely punctured. I called them to report this and either get a refund or a new bottle. They told me to call back as they were having trouble acessing their system. I then e-mailed them. I am waiting for a reply. There are a lot of complaints about Jan-Pro. If you've read any other complaints it indicates that they give you contracts to clean buildings, that are not even worth the pay; you're basically working for minimum wage and working triple to double the hours that you would if you just got a normal job. My son was also scammed by H & R Block and their Emerald Card. He was never told at the time of having his taxes done that the $57 fee they charged in order for him to have part of his refund posted on the card within one or two days was actually an application fee for a loan that he could be denied for. He was obligated to have his taxes done there because he had gotten an "Anticipation Loan" based on their estimate of his refund. The loan is due on the 15th.
