Got a "free" cruise from Odenza Travel. Tried to collect. Would only let me cruise during hurricane season. The rules they sent said I could pay more to travel outside those dates and I was willing to do so but they would not give me a quote until I sent them $350. for port fee and taxes. I received my phone bill for the month of February and I noticed two strange charges on my bill from a place called Voice Vox .They were billed for 14.95 on 1/1/09 and 14.95 on 2/1/09. I called the phone company and they said that they would take it off my bill for them, but that I had to call 1-888-301-3724 which is Voice Vox's phone number and file a complaint. As a Pet Nurse with Banfeild, I am inclined to agree with almost every complaint I have read about them. I left a job of 5 years that I loved to further my animal care education. This company promises rebates for over priced products, then hires a third party to handle the rebates, and I think they get all the money that they rip off unjustly from cricket customers. I had a $50 mail in rebate for a broadband modem. I have recieved multiple phone calls from this guy with a very thick Indian(I think) accent stating I owe money on a payday loan. He stated that I need to pay with a credit card immediately or a police officer will come arrest me. When I told him I didn't have a credit card, he said that I will be arrested. I fell for this ruse. A free trial offer that actually costs $95. I called to complain and have the charge reversed but they said that the information was on the website. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and they said they would not connect me, but they would take my number and have a supervisor call me. They take all of your private information and keep the prices and details quite hidden. Like others, I've made an online payment ($40.00) and had it returned without any record of it ever being submitted to the bank - I was also charged the $35 returned payment fee.
