RIP-OFF with Grant Search April 3, 2009
I paid $1.99 for a c.d. then they charged my bank account $59.95 for their "monthly subscription" They had a lot of fine print in their terms and conditons. They would not refund my money and were really nasty about the whole issue. It is a rip-off! read full review »

Winham Professionals
Toby April 3, 2009
This is probably going to be a very long report. In December of 2007 Windham Professionals contacted me considering student loans that had gone into default. I understand that I screwed up when I went into default, but I was more than willing to try and fix that problem. I proceeded to enroll in their 'rehabilitation' program. I set up payments of $50 dollars a month. The agreement was as follows: You must make at least nine on-time monthly payments within 10 consecutive months. The payments must be received up to 20 day... read full review »

Model Talent Group
Marissa April 3, 2009
We signed a contract with Model Talent Group last year for my daughter. Basically we paid for pictures from their photographer and then have been paying monthly to have her picture/comp card on their website. The only problem is no one can actually see her picture on the site. That should have been our first clue, as all other agencies actually post everyone's picture on their site. The only job call we received was for her to get names at an event, which would then be used for MTG to try to recruit more people to sign on with... read full review »

Almost a year ago I tried to sell my tahiti village timeshare with Universal Marketing Solutions with a man called Jay Bernard and 6 months went down the road with my $1300 down the toilet. I have charged back my credit card from my Amex and fortunately got my money back but then a couple weeks ago I got a call from another group of scammers called Creative Vacation Solutions. I attended ECPI back in 2003. When I enrolled and started my classes I was told that my student loans, financial aid, and pell grant would take care of the cost of everything. I was told I only had to worry about repayment 6 months after graduating. I had a GPA of 4.0 and I thought I was well on my way to starting a brighter future for myself. To my surprise, one and a half semesters later, I was called in the financial aid office and told I would need approximately $3, 000 more to be able to continue my classes there. At that time I told them... read full review »

Sandra April 3, 2009
They called me at work repeatedly. Finally I made arrangement to have a settle paid in 3 payments. They insisted on an automatic debit from my checking. Then they said my account was closed and the deal was off. I am out $429 and have no idea what the status is of my account. They claim Dell Financial (another nightmare) took it back. I believe that is illegal. They gave me an incorrect Dell phone number-it was disconnected. i think this is a scam and I don't know what to do. I filed BBB reports and FTC complaints against Dell and Encore. We will see what happens. read full review »

Well, in short I'm not happy with a credit card company that asks for your social security number over the phone, and then informs you electronically that your number is invalid. You cannot get your account started, and when you think you can by (giving the number) the phone call goes nowhere. It seems that many people are writing about this alleged credit card company and the losses are building up financially. In addition, the account number sent is only 12 digits long when in fact the one the electronic message asks for is 16... read full review »

That means on their Home plan, you're paying $60/month for a certain speed but you're getting less that what you paid for. The worst thing about it is that in their FAQ (frequently asked questions) board, they suggest "upgrading" your service, which is about $15-20 for the next level of service, for only a minor increase in the download bandwidth.
