I am posting because of a problem with our GE Adora dryer. We purchased our washer/dryer in January 2006. In the first year our dryer destroyed a hand crafted afghan made by someone close to us. I ordered a product caled Acai X3..a detox supplement, but cancelled the order immediately. However, today, my bank advised me that a Charge of $88.95 was made against my account by Durable Goods Wholesale & Mgd. Co. for AcaiX3 (which I have not received). As a result of this charge, my brank account was overdrawn and I have been assessed a further $35.00 overdrawn fee by my bank!!! I received a magazine called MONEY which I didn't order. I called their customer service and was told that an order had been placed thru valuemax.com. Tried to contact them at 1-800-301-9619 and was told to visit their website. I haven't ordered any magazines online and have a low income. Took an 08 Dodge Ram to the dealership for simple repair, oil change, TPMS sensors that were missing when the truck was purchased. The only thing that they got right was the oil change. We contracted to purchase names of active mortgage brokers in the state of Texas. We also purchased a email blast. The company quickly charged our credit card. I have been getting letters from these people asking me to pay a school loan saying they reffered by the US Dept. of Edu. I have sent them proof, through my attorney, that my school loan has been paid in full. My attorney also requested that they send further documentation and was ignored. I too contracted Van Kirk to build my pool back in 2004. They broke ground on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and my yard was a debacle for that holiday weekend and for 6 more months to come. This company has false advertising. When I called to dispute the charge that was placed on my credit card, the representative told me that the company states that the consumer will be billed if not returned in 14 days. The information is hidden under the free trail box! The representive also said that the company sends out emails confirming shipment and states the terms. I never received the email. Maybe it went into my junk box. I feel that this company fully misrepresents the free trail offer. If they stand behind their product, there would be no need to scam the consumer!
