Ever since Idearc Media started printing the Verizon Phone listings the problems started. Idearc misprinted my business phone number. The number they published turned out to be a non-working number. I lost 80% of my business. Idearc offered no apology and little resolution. Their resolution was a 15% compensation of the advertising bill and $250 toward an enhanced add the next year. I paid for S&H on my credit card for a bottle of vitamins online, it was a free trial. As long as I cancelled within a certain amount of time, i wouldn't get charged. I did that. Then a couple days later I saw this mysterious charge of $69.90 on my checking account. I called the company back, they said that they didn't charge me, and that it was a different vendor or something like that. and it says on their website to not call your bank, but you SHOULD, they will usually dispute it and you will get your money back. read full review »

Entered an order for a camera. They sent a bogus email asking me to call them because my credit card didn't go through. It did go through. The email got me to call them so they could subject me to a ten minute sales pitch on buying a memory chip for the camera, buying miscellaneous accessories, extended warranties and so forth. We have a Frigidaire Ultraquiet 111 with POTS & PANS HEAVY WASH cycle. We were told that this would do all the heavy washing without pre rinsing. I have to pre wash all heavy soiled dishes or they come out still soiled and some of the soil is on other dishes. 2 visits from service men and numerous phone calls. All I get is that government standards are different now and blah blah blah. I would not purchase any appliance manufactured by Frigidaire or company related to them again. Heads up. I have purchased Encore Foods chopped onions, in Canada at Big lots in Sterling Heights, Michigan and have found live maggotts three times. I pitched the first two containers but this container I took to the manager at Big Lots, needless to say I was sickened, an I have written to the company to complain. I have a mail carrier whom I am sure is either on drugs or just simply can't read. I receive phone calls and statements from my companies daily that they have not rec'd my payments. Thanks to this mail lady my checking account is thoroughly screwed up and she's working on screwing up my credit. I have called her supervisor and the branch manager. Purchased a pr. of diamond stud earrings which I later took to an independent appraiser for evaluation for insurance purposes. The appraiser informed me that the earrings were of such an inferior quality it would be a waste of my money to have them insured. The appraiser further stated that because of such poor quality diamonds, she would be unwilling to even do a written appraisal of them. This company was hired to strip and reseal slate floor in living room-dining room. They attempted to do so, stripping and resealing on two different days. They stripped the floor again on the third day, but left the floor in a mess. They ruined our baseboards, thresholds, and wall covering. We took them to small claims court and was awarded a judgement. We have been unable to collect a penny. Owner claims business is bad and he is ready to declare bankruptcy. I don't normally complain that much, to avoid complaining I avoid Burger King when possible. I haven't stepped foot in there once since I was 16 ... I ordered an out of print book from this book seller through Barnes and Noble because they had a high rating of customer satisfaction. The book never arrived and it's been a month since ordering. Taryn's Books never responded to my repeated emails, and they have no phone, so I have no recourse except through B&N. Barnes and Noble is of course looking into it, but I have demanded my money back, but have yet to get it. Figis sent the 6 free items to Redlands CA address and the two items (main order) back to me. I was alerted when I received a bill for the postage of the two items back to me in GA. I called and talked to a woman, who never did admit that the error was on their part. She suggested that I refuse the package when it came and to have it returned to Figis. In July 2009, I was asked by a family member to cash advance a substantial amount of money with them agreeing to make monthly payments, including interest. This is a website that gives diet and health advice from Oprah Winfrey's nutrition guru, Bob Greene. It costs $19.95 a month but allows a free ten day trial with refund. I purchased, saw the product and was not impressed. I followed the instructions to get a refund which involved calling an 800 number. I have called a dozen times. And each time a recording tells me that all agents are busy and that rather "than keep you awaiting, " they are hanging up. This is after a wait of less than a minute. I received a letter informing me that I now owed rental payments to Flatirons Financial instead of my landlord. I went and talked to them. I paid one month's rent and a pet deposit that equaled $675. At the end of the month I received a record of the payment to them. I also received a notice of rental payment due for the next month. On the first I mailed the new rental payment. I ordered two "Shoeunders" on Saturday, May 9, 2009, after seeing a TV commercial for them. It was a 'buy one, get one free' offer. Once you're on the phone, the automated ordering system asks you to purchase other items, to upgrade your order, etc. I never got an order total and read on the internet that people were overcharged. We purchased a rectangle Hampton Bay umbrella last summer from our local Home Depot. When we got it out of the packaging for the first time after bringing it home, we were not satisfied with the material used. It is a flimsy polyester-type fabric. Almost right away one of the corners ripped causing the "rib" to come out and just hang there! Eventually by the end of summer more of it ripped and a "rib" broke and now it us useless!! When the flowers I ordered arrived at my mother's for Mother's Day, there was no card, so she didn't know who they were from. When I called to tell ProFlowers, they offered a $10 refund. I asked where I could make a comment, and they just said, "Go to we care at proflowers dot com." I did this, but it is not a web address. I finally googled this complaint board. I have a Hunter ceiling fan that is operated by remote control. The remote control stopped working. I have checked the dip switch, battery, and light bulbs. All Pro Authentics shipped me damaged and poorly crafted merchandise and refuse to give me a refund and have not reached out to me to help resolve my dissatisfaction. They only communicate via email and will not provide a telephone number. As a result, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and during the process they have fraudulently altered email communications in their rebuttal to the credit card company. This is unacceptable and they should not be allowed to stay in business by behaving in an unethical manner. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! It is a complete scam. They advertise for a 30 day free trial for $1.00 but actually charge $5.95 for shipping. Product is received (It was useless and had absolutely no effect). Now they charge $38.95; which is a an unauthorized charge; because you only signed up for a $1.00 trial.
